It's hard to believe, but Skull and Bones, the oft-delayed pirate title, is finally here. Sailing the high seas can be daunting, especially with many resources to manage, ship types to unlock and understand, and weapons to go through.
The game does a decent job of explaining several things, but here are 15 tips and tricks you should remember to truly conquer the seas.

I'm having fun with it. It's definitely not perfect, but I'm ship level 5 and starting to get to where I can sink larger vessels. It's not the best pirate game ever made, but it's also not a complete disaster like some are pushing.

Just a heads up: if you auto harvest, you won't yield as much material as you possibly can. You get more material if you hit the green or purple boxes as you harvest.

actually it does tell you about the crowbars, if you check a shipwreck and tells you which one you need. also, you havent mentioned anything about jumping servers by logging out OR about Multishot furniture which is only available at specific times for a few days at best. Or that certain smuggler missions require you to travel to more then just one spot. There are a few more things not mentioned but I dont want to totally break the game for you, alpha top tier knowledge yo

You forgot gunports for all deck weapons I think almost all ships have extra gunports indicated by the squares on your ship those actually do get used and that's why you were firing more shots than the amount of visual cannons

I like the game too. No, it's not the greatest game ever, but I'm enjoying the upgrade loop, and there seems to be a good fan base online. In other words, the people who like it, really like it. So once the news cycle moves on, I think we will be good.

Alright boys and girls make sure you harvest then grill 🍌 or Ndizi and assign them to one of your weapon wheel thingys i think its X button if your using the xbox controller i already have 2500 so when my crews stamina drops to half at full sail I can replenish them only uses like 2 🍌

If they want to play a game with more swashbuckling then find one with more swashbuckling, they are going to lose the trade routes aspect or the ship mechanics developments. No matter what they do, there will always be people that aren't happy with it. There are some people that just complain about everything. Are you one of those?

1. It's a waste of money that doesn't deliver the pirate experience people wanted, especially boarding vessels or strongholds.

Once you do enough damage to a port and sink all of it's defenders, you get a large haul of valuable crafting supplies and silver. There's just no on-foot combat, but you can still board ships, and you get a loot bonus for doing so. It's just not Assassin's Creed.

@Adam-M- sword fighting & powder pistols are staples of pirate games. They've already been able to do it in Black Flag. Most weren't expecting AC parkour, but were expecting boarding ships & storming forts manually. This was a huge missed opportunity.
