The game is pretty great. Most players would play it for the references it has to other games such as William from Nioh being a boss, the Hayabusa style from Ninja Gaiden being an unlockable; and the gameplay this game offers is pretty immersive and feels amazing. I on the other hand, enjoy just being a witness to history and how it unfolds, you end up learning a lot; so who says you don’t learn anything from playing video games. Awesome Video.

Got the Platinum just yesterday, I liked it, the fact that you can fight for a faction and then change side without repercussion exept maybe some rude lines of dialogue was a bit of a stretch, but acceptable. The gameplay was also good, part soulslike and part Assassin's Creed-ish. I will give this game an 8/10.

I have a extremely short attention span, i would be screwed playing this game... id be like Who you!? Idk you!? Btw theres no cool Samurai games on Xbox... i find that strange. Yeah Ninja Gaidin but ehhhh not my kinda game and Sekiro souls like game... i dont have the patience for that an I suck at dark souls games. I found the story to be meh and with a few plot holes. Bonus post credits cut-scene: if you manage to save Ryoma, and also spare your partner, they run into each other in New York.

I was really surprised at the complexity of the set up and the story. Most of the characters do not have a clear moral stance either. Each side had a perspective, certain conviction. It looks like this was a hell of an era in Japan's history. I knew nothing about it before this game.

i find it funny this game seems to be accurate somewhat, yet they seem to push the VERY inaccurate belief of "a true samurai lives and dies by the sword and would never use a gun." here is the FACTS. the samurai used guns. they had entire gun divisions. there are historical paintings of samurai armies with guns. when canons became a thing, they used those. much like the medieval knight, the samurai was meant to be the most effective fighting force to the best of their ability. so when they saw how superior guns were, they switched to those with no hesitation. there was no debate, no "the samurai honor says we cant do this", nothing. its exactly like with Native Americans or Africans, where people have this belief that a true hunter would never use a gun, cause it isnt honorable..........yet guess what, they did and if a modern person went back and said that, they would be laughed at hysterically for being idiots, cause why wouldnt they use the gun, a superior tool? the samurai would look at the modern guy saying that to them, then would proceed to laugh at him, mock him and humiliate him for suggesting such an idiotic thing. also much like the medieval knight, there was no specific honor code that all samurai followed, like many believe. your honor code depended entirely on what Lord you served. example: medieval knights and chivalry. some knights killed monks, others didnt. some would protect women, others didnt and it was all dependent on the lord they served. there was no set code. sure, some were similiar in some things, but it wastn a universal thing. the chivalry code you see today is fake. its taken all the codes, cut out some stuff, kept others and said "this was the code". no.....it isnt. the modern chivalry DID NOT exist back then. its exactly the same with samurai. there was no universal code. it all depended on what lord you served.
