(Game Description) Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader is an action role-playing game, developed for Microsoft Windows by Reflexive Entertainment, and released in August 2003. The game is viewed from a 3/4 isometric camera angle. It focuses on a protagonist, controlled by the player, as he travels on a quest that constitutes the central focus of the game. The plot stipulates a rift in reality that drastically altered medieval history by allowing demons and other similar beings to enter the mortal realm. During the game, the protagonist encounters and interacts with numerous historical figures such as Joan of Arc, Leonardo da Vinci and Galileo Galilei who are represented as non-player characters.

This is the kind of game that deserve a reboot. Not Thief which was already an amazing game with two sequels. Lionheart is a great game and concept with so much love and passion and also unfortunatly unfulfilled potential. The details of the isometric 2d style and the atmopshere is just superb and the story and universe is so original. This game was scary for me as a 12 year old. They have to be doing something right when a birds eye view 2D game not being intentionally scary was freaking me out:)

Funny thing that not much people know good exploit for abusing weapon attack speed. Some use it on neclace that deals 1-3 dmg if somebody is near you. If would you put it on your shortcut and hold it (lets say 1) then it would reequip 10 times in 1 sec dealing again damage. Tho i didint use it coz its boring, doing smilar thing with normal weapons works too if u time it right.

Lionheart was also my first every RPG.. played on a Demo that funnily enough would let you play the whole game as long as you didn't level past 10.. which obviously was hard AF.. I recently got it on steam for like 4 bucks.. well worth it.

When i got this i was like 9 years old and i could kill even few goblins, but while i was growing i came back to this so many times, replay ability is so intriguing. And here i m, almost 22 years and still having fun making some crazy necro tank builds :P

I liked this game when I played it back in the days. Indeed, after Barcelona it becomes less interesting and very linear. I remember having some troubles with certain fights, but it was ok. I remember having some characters in the party, which also helped. Also, I got around the final boss of the game by just talking/persuasion, I didn't have to fight him/it.

I really enjoyed the game, the artworks were really well made, the graphics were nice and they gave the game a interesting vibe. To this day when I hear the music theme I get a lil nostalgia rush. I belive that the game was simply made to big. Not only Barcelona, but all the locations in Spain was very well made, but with time as you get more and more into the game it becomes boring. The amount of quests gets overwhelming after some time and you eventually forget half of the storyline because it is presented to you in paragraphs of text, that you simply glance over after couple hours of gameplay, if all of the important characters would have voice acting the story itself wouldn't be so forgettable. In the end it all boils down to your point, the game was too ambitious for such a modest budget, but with all that said, I still enjoyed it, it had a huge potential.

Criminally underrated game up until you leave barcelona, you can clearly tell that this is where they ran out of resources Great soundtrack, unbelievable historical background, fantastic story, multi facetted and a captivating questline

You know what hurts? The fact that they showed torquemada scheming with the old man, when you arrive. There was so much that could have been done. You feel like there are 2 citites and some major things missing from the plot. Fucking hell , barcelona had such a great feel. There could have been much more to the english war, something to do with the armada too but noo. We missed out on an opportunity to have a desert city too! Damn those fucking scorpions were a pain in the ass wothout slayer perk.

This game had a very interesting setting. I enjoyed it well enough until I encountered a bug that made combat unbearable and almost impossible. My character would swing his sword comically slowly, and it became even slower as I gained levels. It got to the point when took 5 or more seconds to complete one swing animation while enemies attacked normally.

My brothers first played this game back in the days around the year 2000s and I remember watching them play it. they said it had some diablo vibe to it but it was also something else.

I played the game back when it came out. I think the Later parts being literally worse diablo is why i never finished it. I just stooped caring about the story because there was practically none.

i love the game but i do agree it is a shell of a good game. they just never had the time or money to develop the game into the great game it couldve been

Best game ever im playing to this day and i really want some remaster in to this but look at Devil may cry what they done to this title Dante whit Black hair and world of limbo and stuff peace of crap. What about Dungeon Siedge 3 nothing like previous ones.

I have go every corner and try every phrase chat of this game:v. It's not only a game but a fantasy ửold. Love and so much time for this game because of a stupid-English guy :)) ahhh, and i also killed final dragon boss with 4 or 5 subordinate KaKa. 1 bear, 1 soldier, 1 arab guy and i don't remember any more but i save all potion from beginning of game for save them:)). Oh memories😔😆😣😩😊

This was a real poor overview. As if you have never played the game. I agree though, that after Barcelona you can feel the game goes 1-2 levels down.... But that's it. 7 minutes just mumbling, no real arguments. :)

Just a few days ago I installed a demo. And uninstalled it almost immediately after the prison sequence. My so called hero was rushed at and killed in almost one stroke already by the third opponent. I choose a ranged fighter, but could shoot only two arrows with not much impact. And this after wasting 20 minutes of life time for character creation. Glad I paid no money.
