Isaac, just as an FYI about the blood altar. If you are going to continue using it instead of putting the liquid meat into the helmet instead put a bucket of liquid meat on the ground. Unless they've changed it then as long as you are standing in liquid meat your saturation will never go down. That will make your sacrificing that much easier.

just an FYI you can remove the 1k from the storage housing by crouch and right clicking the air. just so you don't have to have to craft more storage housing than you need.

Only Isaac would think that doing the "20 minutes oops no it's two hours" wait with a side detour into all the micro-crafting to get a couple of growth accelerators and an energy acceptor, none of which are likely to get further use, to be a better path to pure certus than just churning out a couple more steel casings via the processes he's now familiar with to get started on Mekanism, which will have lots of lasting use for the rest of the pack.

I suppose you can equate the AE2 "types" to a file allocation table. Each type you put into a disk stores some metadata about the type (in FAT terms, things like the file name, timestamps of when it was created / last updated, etc.), so even though a single item only takes up 1 bit of storage space, the FAT entry takes up 8 bytes on its own. As such, it is more space efficient to store larger quantities of fewer types than vice versa.

I've been playing modded mc for about 10 yrs, and I have to say that even though AE is the OG, Refined Storage is 1000% better than AE in every measurable way. However, I get why the change up is needed sometimes. Good vid, mate. Buzzing right along

Both are good for their own reason. AE2 has more robust autocrafting, but has some frustratingly needless complexity in my mind. I say that because AE2 can make use of items with NBT data and do stone cutting and smiting recipes. RS is vastly simpler, easier to get into, and easier to setup.

I feel like AE just in general has a grudge against automation at every step of the process, everything from throwing items into water pools to unstackable item slots in presses just feels like the creator truly hates anyone who dares to want to add even a small amount of laziness to their setups lol
