Facts. Great review! "A love letter to WipEout" is how I would describe this game. This is a game I'd surely play, speaking as a WipEout veteran.

There exists even more content including 2280 physics which mimics WipEout HD's physics and Floor Hugger which is WipEout Pulse physics I believe

Hilariously enough, Von Snake was looking at making a Switch port, and in fact he nearly finished it before the Nintendo eShop told him to bend over and [REDACTED] himself as they refuse to publish games that aren't on the newest version of Unity (the really money grabby version). So yeah, thanks Nintendo!

I spent so many hours playing F-Zero GX for GameCube when I was younger. This reminds me a bit of that

F-Zero X was the best one of the F-Zero series imo. GX had some (in comparison) cool visuals, but it just did not felt the same anymore and the music got arguably worse too.

Fun fact: about a third of the music in-game was done In-house by Vonsnake, the other two thirds are Shiftdelete, Xpand, and some miscellaneous.

You need to play Redout Enhanced Edition on PC. It's amazing and what all the PC players play for their space racer fix. It's even more amazing and fast paced than wipeout at its endgame.

I feelt the speed classes In BallisticNG where almost the same. Fast faster and a bit faster. In The newer wipeout games: Wipeout Fusion, Pulse, Pure, HD Fury and 2048 you feel very big difference between speed classes. Slow, fast and very fast. I played the first but not: Wipeout XL or Wipeout 3 wich this game is based on. So they probably tried to make the speedclasses similat to those two games.

Get a PS Vita. It has Wipeout 2048, Wipeout HD/Fury, Wipeout Pulse, Wipeout Pure and the original Wipeout. I got one just for all the mobile Wipeout it has.

@@000Chill000 PS Vita can run PSP games bought digitally on PSN, and they even run in 60 fps with slightly better graphics. As long as Sony does not shut down the PSN Store for the PS Vita, you can buy and download many PSP games on your Vita, including both Wipeout titles, I even added all the free DLC packs for Pure.
