RE2 & RE3 Remake got another update for PS5? I always had them running at 120fps on base PS5 and they looked fantastic, with the exception of the lower than 4K resolution and watered down shadow & lighting effects. The PS5 Pro would be able to hit them both at 4K + 120fps and regain those missing or watered down visuals back. But it's too late, I've already beaten both and have no intention to go back regardless of the upgrades.

Check out the Pro image quality RE4 in 60 fps resolution mode compared to Series X. According to DF it's the same like base PS5 which is worse than Series X. So seems strange. If so then there is nothing enchanced in RE4 for the Pro and it's lazy. It's more like the Pro enchances this.

There is another comparison of RE4 Remake Series X and PS5 where it says "dynamic" temporal reconstruction on PS5 but not on Series X. Maybe that's why but then maybe it looks actually better on the Pro and df is not correct in this case.

@@asdsdsd1092 So far I played gow Ragnarok and Spider-Man 2.. Definitely better. As for Spider-Man 2 having the pro mode on, gives you that fidelity that we had in the ps5 but with an uncap frame.. But Im stuck with the fidelity pro on Spider-Man.. Frame rate is still good, but the picture is crazy with the extra environment on the streets.. Gow is a hard choice too on picking which one cause both modes of pictures look damn good lol

It's poorly optimized games or heavily CPU-limited titles. Most games are GPU-limited though, because even though the PS5 has a weaker CPU, resolution has to be lowered in order to achieve 60 fps. So with a better GPU, the resolution on a lot of titles should stay high enough to avoid CPU limitations in many games. Not all, of course.

A 65" Samsung S90D 'QD'-OLED combined with a PS5 Pro & Switch, with a RetroTINK4K on the side is one of the best ways to fly for modern console gaming. TINK4K isn't a perfect BFI solution, but i love how it can remove 50% of OLED motion blur at 60fps, without losing 50% of your TV's brightness, nor does it create any shadow detail crushing like with internal OLED TV BFI, and with a grand total of 20-21ms of lag which is around 9-10ms less than Samsung's S90C & S90D's own BFI. 20-21ms of latency isn't ideal for everything mind you, plus TInk4K is capped at 1080p and obviously creates BFI flicks on whites. But it's still a good option to have, again depending on what game you're playing. Besides, 120fps isn't suitable for all types of games either, especially for anime based fighters like Dragon Ball Fighters, or something like Super Mario Bros wonder if an optioned actualy ever existed. those games are perfect, or would be at 4K + 60fps + BFI.

So I tried re4 again bc I wasn't that impressed. When I would prioritize frame rate with ray tracing on, then turn on HFR mode, it would automatically turn off Ray tracing. So I played with the settings and in a certain order of turning them on I got RT to stay. So now the game is super smooth and the resolution looks great. Now it's what I was experiencing with the other games.

There is nothing visually enchanced from devs and high frame rate mode has visual slight gamma glitches or so and is low res with PSSR. So the "enchanced" patch is lowered res and PSSR slapped on for high frame rate mode and the normal unenchanced 60 fps mode still looks better. It run at 60 fps in resolution mode before the patch too because a dude made a comparison.

Hope they release a patch for re2 as well. The ray tracing in that game was good but unplayable because it kept dipping outside of vrr range and had awful stutter. Might try it unpatched to see if its more stable now

Games: METRO Redux, Wipeout collection, Genaration Zero, Beyond Two Souls, HUNT, that games i hat try on the PRO the lights and the HDR is alot diffrent from the Effects.

There is no Pro patch for Silent Hill 2 Remake yet. But performance is much better still in it's current form and the specific areas where it would dip are now within the VRR range. I still think the pool are will be in the 40's though.

I am wondering why this update 1.400.000 of the game came out on PS. The game has a massive texture loading prob in quallity mode on the Xbox which is NOT fixed until now by Capcom. So why not fixing the game instead? I was hoping that a patch came out now too but nothing.

You have to be stupid if you think thats it’s running that low of a resolution at most the ps5 will be running the games at 1440p but upscaled at 4k which 1440p looks fantastic and it’s a nice sweet spot and that fact that it’s achieving 100+ fps with maxed out graphics is insane and for $700 it beats almost any pc at that price point no pc at $700 is doing that
