I received this machine today, but oil has spilled inside the box and the machine is getting very hot. Is this normal? Did you cut the oil can yourself or is it open? I think someone used it and returned it. Can you please help?

Just to confirm- Can you use Wahl or Andis guards on the X-Ergo clipper?

Wahl premium guards fit perfectly, Andis double magnetic guards fit but there's a little bit of movement

A great clipper, not sure so sure about the chrome guards, don't think Wahl premium guards can be beaten. How do you feel about the price tag vs what you get? I think packing and presentation could be alot better, thats where i feel JRL have an edge. Both great clippers! Should i take the gamble and get a pair of x-ergo? Your setup is awesome! I'm liking the chrome guards so far, feel very similar to the purple magnetic's which I do like a lot. Price tag is steep when compared to the original Ergo and the other clippers similar to them on the market. Seems like the extra money is for the fusion blade, 'stretch blade', silver guards, slight redesign and a new or tweaked microchip! Need to spend a bit more time with it.

I copped some & for some reason mine came with a crooked cutting blade. not sure if all of them come like that.

not necessarily... andis do a double magnetic 0.5 guard which is different to the 0 guard and not a 1 guard.. it’s a *half guard* lol
