There’s something about Lyadov that’s just magical. The first piece I heard of his was his “Barcarolle”, which made a lasting impression.

Yeah! I think it’s a very common and normal thing for us as “east people”, I mean Asian people. We have a lot of similarities with the Russian culture, for me as a Chinese and also for you as Japanese!

This is somewhat reminiscent to Lyapunov’s nocturne, at least the beginning. Both pieces are in D flat major.
