Yes! Thinking about skipping this model and upgrading 7x7 instead. I am still in love with my Gan SM, so no great loss. With the price of Gan cubes being what it is I usually skip every other model. The prices have been going up consistently, but I think Gan will start hitting a price wall with its 3x3's.

@@meixiapan3427 Just like Zeix said, magnet are cheap and those capsule, i dont think it would be very hard to make.The molding would be a little bit difficult as it is a little bit more complex, however, i really dont think it should cost this much. GTS3M has the spring compression system, which is equal to GES nut, and it cost a lot less, around 35$. If we add magnet capsule to it, well. I dont think it would be cost more than 50$.

I was fortunate enough to get this cube as a Christmas gift, and after unboxing and setting it up it was pretty much love at first solve. Even knowing how good it is though, Idk if I'd spend $62 on it--maybe $40-50 at the most. Still, if you're an avid cuber and you ever get the opportunity to try it, do *not* pass it up. And if price is not an issue, this cube is a must in my book. Currently I'm using the blue GES nuts at 0.6mm tension, the clear magnet capsules, and some Angstrom Compound V to keep it nice and speedy.

It was easy to see because of the block in front of you and the geen edge at the right, of opposite color to the corner next to it. Sort of. I said something similar. The SM was a HUGE improvement over the UM, and in the video I said I would continue to try it out and see if my times got better with it. In the video I mentioned that my times were slightly worse than normal. They never got better so I didn't continue to use it. The X is the first Gan cube I've done multiple rounds with and used at home for an extended period of time.

If you don't like the 356 X, then you should get the 356 eggs, the size is 56 mm and you get 3 a packet , hence the name, you can get it in white and brown :)

I would be worried that over time the magnets could slip out of their slots ever so slightly, causing the cube to not turn anymore. Is that possible? Or is there some kind of clasp or clip system that holds the magnet capsules in place? Or is it just tightness that holds the capsules where they should be?

Yep, a clip system, in other videos, they show it, it clicks into place and stays there

Can you describe the difference/feel between the stickered and the stickerless versions? I assumed they would have similar feels, and while no one is really mentioning or answering this in the other videos I have seen, I did see in a forum that one person said the stickered felt more stable and had smoother turning even though they themselves had always preferred stickerless before this.Thanks!

Nah i dont have both stickered and stickerless versions of the gan 356x, but it’s definitely safe to assume stickerless and stickered have the SAME hardware. I bought stickerless because to me, it looks cleaner. Also a few years back i saw many people having damaged stickers lol so i got worried a bit.

Shotgun Wang, I think that you may be thinking of the 356R which is not magnetized stock, on the more budget end of puzzles, and has different shades then the 354 and 356X.

in case Carson Warren's comment disappears, Numerical has "presets" for tension and can be adjusted by hand, IPG V5 is free-floating, so more precise, and needs a tool.

For the numerical you can tension it without using the tool. There are 3 settings, 0.6mm(tightest), 0.8mm and 1.0(loosest). For the ipg v5, it's like the other ipg's, you need a tool to swap the nuts. In the end they both do the same job, it's just that the numerical only has 3 settings, while the v5 has unlimited tensions.

This is up to personal preference. A few of us here at the office feel that the stickered feels a little better than the stickerless. But others don't really feel any difference.
