You don't have to pop out the edge pieces to switch the magnets, you just need to turn the m layer 45 degree

Clear is the tightest/strongest set in both magnets and ges nuts, not yellow. Also, the 354 comes stock with green. It’s a clear cap

To make my stickerless gans 249 v2 less slippery, I put tape on the sides and peeled them off to add a small sticky feeling.

I have the opposite issue with my GAN SM. It's probably the lube combo I use (Gravitas, Dignitas, and DNM), but it breaks in fast and then gets faster and faster over time to the point that I have to clean it and start over because it's completely uncontrollable.

Great video. I love my 354m. My only issue with Gan is I wish I would have known about the 356x coming out before I bought the 354m. I would have definitely waited and got the nicer cube, but I doubt I will now.

Maya W of course you can be sub whatever you want even withtout being color neutral, first sub-5 WR was from Lucas Etter who wasn’t color neutral, color neutral can be helpful when there is a really easy cross / X-Cross, but it won’t drastically make you faster

Maya W yes a lot of top cubers are color neutral because it’s still useful, and for big cubes it’s easier to build first center being color neutral for example, but it’s not that much « useful », if you’re still not sub-20 or sub-15 just go on color neutral, but if you’re already fast it’ll be very hard I found out that being bi-neutral, white / yellow or blue / green is almost equal than being full color neutral so just pick what you’ll think is better for you ;)

The most EFFICIENT neutrality to learn is 2x and 2y neutrality. So if normally solve blue front white bottom, then you should completely comfortable with either green or blue on front and white or yellow on bottom. That one asian solver thats hella good(his name is Jperm) has a video on neutrality and he shows mathematically you get the most moves saved for the least neutrality with 2x and 2y

PokéKid no you can’t. I got have all the cubes you mentioned. The valk in my opinion is right in the middle. The X is really smooth and you can change what kind of magnets you are using just in case you don’t like the strength of the 354 M.

Tell me if this was a smart move. I kinda just started cubing and I started with a rubies brand 2 weeks ago and I just upgraded to 356s V2 and have been practicing. I haven’t learned cfop yet but it’s in progress. I’m averaging about 50 seconds a solve. I pretty bad but I am enjoying cubing. Yesterday I was debating if I should buy the Gans 356 Air Sm for 40 dollars or the Gans 356 S for 62 dollars and I watched many videos and reviews and I decided to get the SM. was that a dumb move I am new to cubing and I would love to get some advice to better improve my time.
