STATE ANIMAL: ✒️Snow leopard (mountain monarch) has been categorized as endangered by the IUCN. ✒️Earlier state animal musk deer was not amongst the endangered species. STATE BIRD: ✒️Monal is also the state bird of uttraKhand and national bird of Nepal. ✒️Western tragopan locally known as King of birds is induced in the schedule 1 of wildlife protection act offering fullest legal protection and himachal have strong hold of the species and have viable population of jujurana in the wild across the world. STATE FLOWER : ✒️Earlier rhododendron arboretum the state flower was common species widely distributed in Western and central himalayas. ✒️New state flower rhododendron campanulatum the pink rhododendron falls in the threatened species of the IUCN.

भारत के कई राज्यो में क्षेत्र के हिसाब से अपना अलग जलवायु , कृषि और वन्यजीवन है। कई पशु और पौधे एक दूसरे के साथ मिलते जुलते हो सकते है। इसी प्रकार हिमाचल प्रदेश का राज्य पक्षी मोनाल था ,राज्य पशु कस्तूरी मृग तथा राज्य फूल बुरांश का फूल था । तीसरी राज्य वन जीव बोर्ड की बैठक में बदल दिए गए हैं:- 1.मोनाल का अब स्थान पश्चिमी जाजुराना ने ले लिया । क्योंकि मोनाल utrakhand राज्य पक्षी और नेपाल का राष्ट्रीय पक्षी था।इसी कारण एचपी को नए राज्य पक्षी जरूरत महसूस हुई। 2. सुंदरता के आधार पर 3.खतरनाक के आधार पर 4. जनसंख्या कम होने पर

State bird of himachal at present is Western tragopan (jujurana) .Earlier it was monal.it was changed due to two reasons 1. It is also state bird of uttarakhand and national bird of Nepal. 2.its numbers are decreasing in himachal. Earlier the state animal was musk deer now it is changed to snow leopard because it is endangered in himachal.therefore dire need to protect it.(project snow leopard-pin valley) State flower-pink Rhododendron (rhodendron campanulatum)earlier it was rhododendron arboretum.
