Hi Daniel, I am able to refresh only 8 times per day, Are there any additional settings that need to be applied?
@DanielChristian19 Жыл бұрын
Hi Suresh, With Power BI Pro, you are allocated 8 refreshes a day, with premium you can do 48.

Hi Daniel! I am trying to use Power Apps in Power BI, but the power apps visual keeps refreshing when I change report pages. Do you have any workarounds for this?
@DanielChristian192 жыл бұрын
You could change the setting of that Power Apps visual to not refresh.

This is great ! Thanks. Two things wish to get some answers: (1) So does the max 8 times refresh per day still apply under this method ? (2) Do you know if we can do the same but in PBI with powerapp inside PBI report to do CRUD then refresh the PBI report in PBI service ?
@DanielChristian193 жыл бұрын
Hey R Chong, 1) The max 8 times does not apply here. You can refresh as many times as you need. 2) Yes, you can as long as your app has the Power BI Integration connection in it.

Awesome, Daniel. I will look through your videos for information on dynamically filtering the tile. That’s my next challenge.

Hello thanks for the video. Will this work if you embed a report and not a dashboard? if your report is built in top of a dataset that takes 10 minutes to refresh then by default the embedded report will take the same to refresh
@DanielChristian193 жыл бұрын
Hey Juan, Your welcome. No, it will not work. You have to use the Power BI control and select the dashboard and title to make it work.

Hi Daniel, Is it possible to pass parameters to the PowerBI visual. e.g, I want the report to be filtered based on who is using the App (i.e based on the user who is logged-in)? Also, is there any documentation or blog on this new PowerBI connector? Thanks a lot.
@DanielChristian193 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely. You can use the user() function to get the login user info and add it to the URL filter. Here is the doc for it. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-url-filters

Yes it does.

But it's such a bummer that how many refreshes are dependent on the lisence we have. For pro I think it's 4 or 5 .
@DanielChristian193 жыл бұрын
Hey Susheel, This auto fresh is not limited to 8 times for Pro or 48 times for premium licenses. You can refresh it countless number of times.
@sushichow3 жыл бұрын
Oh, but when I used refresh data set in power automate which was being triggered through powerapps on a button click, gave me error regarding the limit. I hope then it is limited to power automate 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Hello, Great Video!!! Some questions: 1. Does it work with Share Point lists? 2. Does it work, in PowerApps for Teams with Teams Dataverse (I didn't find there information about environment URS and Data Base Version)? 3. Does it work when there is an import mode from PowerApps to PowerBI (There was direct query mode on your PBI)?
@DanielChristian193 жыл бұрын
Hi Filip, It will not work with SharePoint lists because we cannot make a Direct Query access to Power BI. Import mode does not work either. This will work with Teams Dataverse as long as you have the settings configured

@@DanielChristian19 Thank you for your response. MS Power Platform is great, but unfotunatelly refreshing data across the tools is not properly addresed. When you compare how it works for example in case of Google Data Studio and Google Sheets, where you've got updated data immidiately after clicking refresh button, it is clear that MS has here some work to do.

Hi Daniel, This is Santhosh, I have an Implemented same in my project but, the user requirements are after clicking a button the dataset should get refreshed successfully. But user doesn't know it is completed or not or whether it is in progress or not. So, how we can implement that "Status" inside the power apps or can we do something. If you have time could you please make a video for that and eagerly I am waiting for that video. Thanks, Santhosh.
