Although the PBI data I am trying to work on comes from a built in Table from Visualization chart where data columns come from different tables and source files, and also with a 'new measurement' data. Hi Reza, great video! Microsoft documentation states that manual refreshes of Power BI datasets don't count towards the allotted refreshes of 8 per day for a Pro license. Wouldn't utilizing the PowerBIIntegration.Refresh() command constitute a manual refresh and therefore not count towards that total?

For Direct Query mode, you can initiate N number of PowerBIIntegration.Refresh() since all it does is refreshes the Visuals.

Question: in order to create the new app in Power Apps using the visual in the Power BI report, do you need to have certain level of licensing on the Power Apps side? I am following all the steps you mentioned, but when creating the new app in Power Apps (coming from the Power BI report), the data points don't carry over the Power Apps canvas.

Data points should carry over. If you are able to get to power apps, then you do have the license. I’m not sure why your data points are not getting carried over though.

Video showcases how to write back and perform live refresh. Your data source will have to support Direct Query. If using Import Query mode, then you will be limited to number of refreshes.

Awesome video. Having one doubt, as everyone know PowerApps has limit as it can not get more than 2000 items. So now, if PowerBI has 7000 rows in data then all those rows will be visible in Powerapps gallery, or it will only show top 2000 rows only.

Hi Reza, Is there a way to match the order of the items in the Power app gallery with the sort on the table in Power Bi?
@RezaDorrani Жыл бұрын
You would need to define your own order in apps by using sort function on items property of gallery.

@@RezaDorrani Thank you so much for the response! I’ve become a member today! I understand the sorting (after the data is passed in). I suppose, my issue is from a UX point of view. I have created an PBI layout with a Power App on the right and tables, charts and filters on the left. All great (thanks to you). I've also used the prev/next record approach as I don't want to have list of items in the table and in the app. This is all working. But, let’s say the, table is filtered to 10 records. The prev/next record navigation works great for those 10 records. But, if I click a column and spot, changing the order, browsing prev and next remains in the same (Id Desc) order instead of the order of the table (now that I’ve clicked the column). I’m stumped. I thought maybe use Dax to add a column that holds a text value of the current sort or something. I really need to pass in the sort/order of the table so that my prev and next works correctly. I’m not a great communicator, so I’ve made a 90 second clip to demo my struggle: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fojGmoRtqaahbKM
