I'm a malayalee born in Thiruvananthapuram and resident of Chennai and an arden devotee of Sree Padmanabha Swamy. For your information perumal is considered as the ruler of Travancore kingdom even today by us. So dress code is very strict and men are not supposed to keep their chest uncovered when they are inside the temple. All should follow rules when you meet the emperor of a country and the same applies here 👍 Nobody is allowed to do namaskaram on the ''ottakal mandapam'' not even the erstwhile maharajas. The believe is that what ever is fallen on the mandapam belongs to Sree Padmanabha Swamy and if you prostrate you also belong to perumal. And one more thing if you call him for help from anywhere in the world our Emperor will come and help us immediately this is said out of my personal experience... 🙏🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I visited the temple ten years ago. There came a huge car. No plate was not there. But shangu, chakram porichu irundadhu. From that, Raja got down. He quietly came, absolutely no fuss. We were asked to wait for a while as a mark of respect. But he was going very gently with out disturbing any body. In krishna sanadhi we were allowed to have darshan along with him. My respect for the family was doubled after i had this experience. They all have donated everything to the temple selfless.now politicians want to know the estimate of the wealth of the temple. The very thought will destroy the ppl who mess around with the temple. Om namo narayana
