I also thought the mic passing between Mino and Yoon is symbolic of the time during their survival show to become Winner, Mino was the original leader and then it became Seungyoon midway. He took on that heavy responsibility and has done really well at it ever since!

Thank you for always being so supportive toward the winner boys! Appreciate that. Yoon wrote this song back then in 2015 when he got to face the 1,5 years of hiatus that he said once disbanding was one of most obvious choices. This song is actually what he always wanted to tell to his younger self. We're so thankful that he's still here and eventually made it this far. Love your reaction anyway!

This song was written shortly after their debut and during their longest hiatus, we think it's because he experienced intense pressure from YG to generate more hits after his successful debut, especially since he's the leader. Edit: Also just to add on, at that point in time the group was expected to fill the very big shoes left by Big Bang (Ikon was still not a proper group then), they also lost a member, and were facing disbandment. That's a lot of burden on someone so young.

4:44 This is just how Yoon style of lyrics... one word, same sound but can have many meaning.. Ai-yah also can be translated as " a kid" in korean... just like the lyric goes "I'm still a kid in my mother's eye..." I think he just wanna say that whatever people say or thinking about him.. For the August 2014, some of us ICs interpreted it as this: He initially debuted as a Soloist. And then he was signed under YG. However, the company has a different plan. He joined in a survival show (w/ WINNER as his teammates). But since his team won, it also meant that he needs to postponed his solo career and focus on group activities and music productions. So some of us interpreted it as a bittersweet moment for him. Though some ICs can also comment down their interpretation abt that scene. BTW, thank u for reacting!.
