I grew up in Stockton in the 80's eqrl 90s. VST or Vickies town was one of our rivals. We were ESS East Side Stockton. We also had PBS or Playboy Sureños. We fought them pretty much every morning alongside my cousins and best friend all of which didn't make it past 18 years of age. I had a strong Father and Mother who stayed on me and I eventually went to the Marine Corps. Saved my life. Semper Fi🫡

all gang documentaries should be like this, because i can see kids watching Gangland episodes, and be like wow thats so cool because in Gangland episodes, it's so much more fast paced with glamourising the lifestyle, but this documentary was so boring and depressing that makes people say yeah wtf is the point, i don't wanna get involved lol

For me they were my family I’m a grandma now and I have relocated to onther state I was lucky to have that option I’ve been gone from LA FOR 30 YEARS “ I had gotten my children tooken away from me there it was hard to get them back in LA it was then I realized I could possibly lose my parental rights that scared me so I decided to go where my mom was and that was her reservation she is Native American I came here and left my kids in LA i worked with social services here and did interstate compact it took 9months to get my children sent here with me it was the best decision I’ve ever made I raised 6 children here who have all graduated I have 3 daughters who are police officers 2 of them are twins I’m so proud of them I never talk to them about my past

I remember seeing this when I was 12 and I was already starting to see the gangs around my house and I loved the way they were out having fun . I wanted it even more . Started putting the eye liner on drinking /smoking by 13. Meth by 14 ecstasy , pills, cocaine I was a garbage can ! Whatever drug you gave me I took it . Found out kickin it with gangsters I had all the drugs and alcohol I wanted while having fun in the streets aand numbing my mind . I’m 33 now . But it took me yeaaars to be able to get off drugs nd alcohol . I was a full blown addict by 19 . I’m clean and sober now but it’s a struggle every day .

I hope all these females are doing good 👍 from what I read on the comments the twins are doing good 👍. The one doing the time ⏰ in prison where is she at now. She would barley be seeing parole this year 2024 that's crazy I hope she got out along time ⏰ ago and is doing good 💯

Crazy how the neighborhood had changed its still active but gentrification is taking over little by little. That specific gang is no longer around.

I mean, I get being a product of your environment, but as a mom, I would do anything possible to make it home to my babies every night I would not want to be out in the streets after becoming a mother.

Thr parents sent them into the streets by calling their girls stupid n other abusive shit. It's like the parents need be held accountable for tearing the girls confidence down at home.. parents are supposed to love n guide children correct not belittle them making them go to the streets..where is the love?
