I feel this video shows the 2 biggest problems in Dark Souls 3 right now. Instant, near unpunishable estus and rollspamming with so many I-frames you could go to you kitchen, make a nice cup of coffee and read the morning news before they end. It doesn't help that I can get in nearly 11 rolls with just 35 Endurance and a FAP ring.

+Wellard Johnson I agree about Estus. It's super annoying how fast it is, for PvE and PvP. I think roll spamming isn't too much of a problem though. It's not as punishable as previous games, but if you're familiar with the timings of your weapons you can punish it pretty easily, and if that roll spam turns into rolling R1 spam, the more so through parries. I find the phantom range in this game much more egregious. I'd probably rate that as my second biggest problem with the game.

+Winter fantoom ranges are the most serious problem, agreed! About the rolls, i find it difficult roll through some specific attacks, like through spears, the timing should be perfect, but it seems like i get hit anyways if i try to roll through the attack and get behind the enemy

this right here is the perfect example of what's wrong with III sluoS kraD. Hosts should not be allowed to infinitely summon support. There should be a cut off point. If an invader manages to banish 6 phantoms, it should lock out summoning for the host until he either dies, or defeats the invader. But seeing as FROM is trying to get the My-Little-Pony community to try out Dark Souls, i doubt we'll ever see something like it.

It makes 50% of the fights seem like total bs to people who don't play Souls games, but it also guarantees that no PvP encounter will ever be the same, because you don't know what to expect. It's why this series is still so widely popular. If you want 1v1 honor duels all the time, I suggest getting Dark Souls 2 and joing either the Blue Sentinels or the Brotherhood of Blood. These covenants open up organized PvP arenas, where you can fight 1v1 all you want.

Daiyuki117 Not really. It depends on the situation. I use obscuring ring if there is a bunch of people and goad the host to follow me by shooting arrows at them. If everyone follows me, I try to separate the reds and kill them like I would any other invasion. If the host has a phantom summoned (which happens alot for fightclubs) I wait until they summon more reds and then try to make the red summons think the host and phantom are gankers.

Peeve Peeverson - That's pretty smart. Sneaking an extra 80 damage every now and then in invasions can kinda add up. You ever thought of using obscuring ring for invasions, though? Like running out of sight, and sprinting back in with a running attack. Yeah the infinite summons pretty much turned me off on the invasion side. I win maybe 1 or 2 out of 30 invasions due to ganking. I enjoyed the Single Player but the pvp/invasion side is just too messed up. I've already sold the game and do not plan to invest in any DLC. The current invasion system ecourages ganking and gankers pretty much have ruined the invasion system due to no friendly damage and infinite summons. Gankers only gank because they can not hurt each other and they rack up souls in the millions within an hour or so. On another note, it just dawned on me after watching this video. The siding characters and everyone complaining about it and wondering what the problem is. I now see what the problem is. Every time a host pulls in a summon, when the summon is connecting, the host starts sliding with no animations.

If Dark Souls 3 PVP is in any way representative of the moral makeup of our society, it's looking rather bleak. For every sweet fight club or honorable duel, I run into up to half a dozen gank parties these days. Shameful.

That'd be like me kicking in your door irl and expecting you to fight me without calling the police, then complaining when you don't. If you want honorable 1v1's, stick to pre-organized private fight clubs, don't invade.

Peeve Peeverson I don't agree. Especially not when they hang around fight club areas and summon me into their gank setup repeatedly, sometimes for an hour or more. I don't think we're talking about the same thing here.

O god, that analogy, my sides. My sides! Hoo~ I needed a good 10 seconds there. My input here, I like getting ganked.... is that odd? I thought we all enjoyed putting a group of gankers in there place (and I don't mean the poor co-opers we torment, but well them too). Am I the strange one now? Granted I hate not being able to punish chugs as easy now, but I'm still enjoying tormenting gank groups. And I'm like a 23/30 quality build with like 15 vigor, and 2-3 or no levels in other stats cause I'm trying out all the weapons as I go through the game. Not posturing, my win rate sucks. I can get the parries decent now that I'm starting to get the timing but I can r1, r1, parry and still not have killed the guys, and its not like they are tanks. The struggle xD but well I still do well, just not so much win....

When you invade you open yourself up to all sorts of bullshit, its part of the game. You shouldn't expect a host nor an invader to chug all their estus and 1v1. If you want that gameplay lay down a red soapstone for duels.

actully YOU are the one invading so you have no right to whine when they try to 3v1 you because sometimes i'm invaded when i just wanna progress and i cant be arsed to risk dying and loosing my progress :P though if its at the beginning of the area i'll 1 v 1 them yeah. +Kingandhorse Or, don't pop an ember and you'll progress easy as hell. And don't tell me you co-op for fun, you co-op because you can't solo bosses. If you haven't went through the grinder, you have no reason to play online. I co-op with a buddy of mine, and we damn near never gank, only time we do is if we want to be dickheads to try and get salty hatemail, which usually is accompanied by a seed of a tree of giants. Otherwise, I grab the sack between my legs and 1v1 the invader, because as a dickwraith myself, I know how it feels to get ganked. What's even worse is people who attack you while you're bowing. Since Dark Souls 2, the community has become cancerous. Lack of honor is the new norm, and it's disgusting.

I'm glad you enjoy this kind of invasion. Lol! Personally,the way I handle invasions,is I will bow the invader will usually try to attack me during the animation,we will fight,and if I don't die immediately I generally do well and the invader heals but I never will unless two attack me. If I have summons with me,if the invader is nice I will Leave the summon to fight then I will fight if my summon dies. If they're rude we will gank em. :3

It's okay Peeve, when you need to summon 5 or so phantoms to ward off two invaders when you've literally nothing to lose because they're right next to the bonfire, you can talk all the shit you want. And considering how the summons were tucked in a corner, it looks like they were trying to gank. Awesome victory and video.
