In a previous tutorial we saw how to put together a Gantt Chart using conditional formatting. Remember that the Gantt Chart is an administrative graphical tool that will allow us to carry out the visual monitoring of the activities of a project. A project has a certain number of activities and each activity must be carried out in a certain number of days.
The usual way to arm is to have a column of Activities and other columns with the Start date and End date, in addition to a row with the dates of a whole month or the dates where the entire project starts and ends.
The logic that we must follow to highlight the days corresponding to the dates is:
- The Calendar date must be greater than or equal to the Start date and less than or equal to the Final date.
Once we have defined if the dates coincide with the Start and End dates, we need to define if the dates of the calendar are weekends. We will use the DIASEM function to return the number of the week and with that to know if it is Saturday or Sunday and not to color those cells.
