We really enjoy playing Gap as a casual filler. However, you got one rule wrong: If the played card has no matching cards and no adjacent cards in the middle: Add the played card face-up to the middle row. (You don‘t keep it then.) This changes the dynamic quite a bit! 😉

Someone is enjoying writing those titles way too much 😄

@@matthew.stroutNo joke, I haven't written one of these titles in weeks. Zee and Mike have been doing pretty much all of them lately, so they're crushing it!

I don't....mind it.

6:04 No, you don’t know that you will have those cards in front of you. From the publisher’s website: “If the played card has no matching cards and no adjacent cards in the middle: Add the played card face-up to the middle row.”

Yep, I made a mistake there. My apologies.

This seems like a fun card game my non gamer family would enjoy. However, the $17 price tag for what it is seems too high. I would pick it up if it was on sale though for sure.

I think it has a parade vibe. I think parade has a better end game.

Wait a minute. This is just an alternative deck of cards, right? Am I missing something? Five suits ranked 0-9, right? Instead of four suits ranked 1-13, right? Fifty cards instead of fifty-two cards, right? Why can’t I play this game with a regular deck of cards? Does 5 suits minus face cards make that much difference? Am I missing something?
@surfbum68m Жыл бұрын
There are only 4 suits in a regular deck. Look at that you answered your own question.

You could say this about a lot of games. There are literally thousands of games you could play your own home version of by repurposing the components of another smaller set of games,and people do actually do this. I don't consider that a knock against a published game

You could also cut out pieces of paper and make this game. Or make a Magic deck. But it’s a lot of work, maybe I’ll just buy it.

Better DIY Proxy - Pull out the deck for "The Game" or "Ohanami" to play "Gap". Use cards 10-59 (50 cards), with first digit as suit and second digit as rank. Separately, using the same method, with Ohanami cards 10-109 (100 cards) you can play "Enchanted Plumes" (10 suits of 10).

@@surfbum68m yes, you could easily play this at home with a deck of cards because unless you play with I believe five or six players, you have to take out some of the colors. For example, if you only play with two players, you actually take out two of the colors she only needs three different colors
