Complete and accurate documentation of why one would miss a medical treatment really can make the difference in a personal injury case. It's important to be certain that treatment options are completely exhausted and the patient is recovered before approving a settlement. Great video, btw.

Unfortunately true, comprehensive palliative care is very limited across the country. It will generally fall on the person to follow up with their primary care physician who will manage symptoms. As a hospice & palliative nurse, I wish the benefits were expanded across the board for overall management of care. If you have acute symptoms, it's easy to get care. Ongoing chronic needs is very burdensome for the person to manage, especially if not feeling well

I wish I knew this before when PT told me after so many weeks that was the end of the treatment, and it was as good as I would get.
@MattlawAttorney Жыл бұрын
Some PT places tend to write in their records that the patient is getting better and better until fully recovered. Check with the doctor who proscribed your PT and see what other treatment might help you. Good luck with your recovery.

I'm doing most of my treatment to regain control of my body members. My appointments used to be consistent and now I get the appointment three months apart. I'm just now getting better at writing.

Sometimes we need to continue treatment and therapy at home. If you need more therapy, let your doctors know you want more, they may be able to offer more support for your healing.

So when workers comp stops your checks after a few weeks....how are you suppose to continue doctor visits!! And not only doctor visits but not being able to pay your bills while sick and come close to losing your home!! I'm going to give workmans comp more hell than attorney would!! Workmans comp will do any evil they can to get rid of the sick person.....but I dont stop for nobody until justice is done!! Most attorneys are no better THAN workmans comp!! I speak from experience!! AND I DO NOW HAVE PROOF OF MY INJURY!! REALLY MOST ATTORNEYS MAKE ME SICK!!

What you described about MMI, is exactly what has happened to my case. I was told nothing else could be done, especially since my job related incident was closed. I recently applied for SSDI after retiring with disability from my job. However, because of my ignorance I didn't apply for SSDI until 5 years after my retirement date. I now have this gap in medical treatment. How can I ensure my credibility by explaining other factors that occurred as well as not being aware that 1) I could apply for SSDI and 2) Because I was told there was nothing else that could be done?

Why dont attorneys stop workmans comp fraud? They could easily do it! But then theyd lose future clients....noone would need an attorney! Its all one big greedy BS game! Obvious to any average person!

What is interesting about who controls the workers compensation in each state is the legislature. And every year, the lawyers who represent injured folks are trying to change the laws to make the system fair. But insurance companies have big bucks and they spend a fortune to advance their special interests, which always help the big companies and insurance carriers. Talk to you legislators and ask them to help injured workers.

@@MattlawAttorney But I never hear about attorneys doing anything to stop workmans comp fraud...BUT YOURE SAYING WE CAN....IF WE CAN we dont need attorneys. SEE MY POINT!

@@laragreene8328 There is a lot of fraud in workers compensation. And what is interesting is they prosecute injured workers who commit fraud, but I never hear of a prosecution for fraud against an insurance company.
