Hey, Thanks for doing this series, I have had this app on my laptop for years and have never been able to figure it out, I guess coming from another gutair player just makes it more clear, Many, many thanks.

I wondered how you could change chords with loops. I’m glad I watched this video. Thanks a bunch. I’m gonna start working with this. If you have more videos about this please put the link in a reply. Thanks again.

instead of searching through the list of percussions etc , you can always use the search bar and type tambourine f.ex.

Great tutorial, so far as it goes. It would be great if someone did something like this using audio guitar & piano loops instead of MIDI. It's easy to change pitch for MIDI loops, but how do you do it with audio loops? Unless, of course, you've got a song that only uses one chord!

i have garage band 10.3.2 ..and its different .. tried to change the pitch but it changes for the whole track rather than the part i want ??

Good stuff Justin, I don't have garage band but I wanted to see some of your ideas on Looping for Backing Tracks. I can't always find video's about Fruity Loops(the DAW that I use), so I watch video's with other DAW's and try to do the same thing on FL.

i think its the new one....there's more loops than i've got and it was full of bugs on the audio. Maybe a coincidence but i'm not rushing to update mine.

Great, helpful video as always. Question: what if you want to change the time measure or key of the loop tracks? I often have the problem of writing songs with very specific beats and things in mind and find it frustrating that I can't find a loop to match.

I've used a number of DAWs in the past, and I still use Logic for most of my own stuff, but I've been looking for a simple way to introduce (often non-musical) kids to creating simple loop compositions in GarageBand, and this is very helpful. Thanks. One thing, though, like a couple of others who have posted below, I don't seem to have the drum and bass tracks you used in my loop library (I'm running GB 11 on OS 10.9.4). I can't help but think I must be missing something simple, but I have no idea what. Any suggestions? Cheers Simon

Hello Justin. You are one of the best guitar teachers around. I have the latest GarageBand but I seem to have very very few midi loops for bass guitars and few MIDI loops in gerenal. Mine is a stock installation of GarageBand. How do you have so many bass loops?

Turns out they aren't really there in GarageBand. You can download them from some websites though. Just google it. Some material is free while some is paid.
