I lived in a van for 4 years. I live now in an small double room in a hostel. (I can literally extend my arm from the bed and touch the bike). I don't have so much space but my TT bike is permanently on the trainer, ready to get the training done. I trained 3 half IM living in a van (training at the local gym and outside) and 3 full IRONMAN living in our small bedroom. For me, space is irrelevant, more you have more you store. Don't give up on your IRONMAN dream. Keep training hard like you do. Great video like as usual.

what do you do for heating/warmth to stop the room being cold and damp? Did you add a radiator or do you have heaters on timer?
@erdm81532 жыл бұрын
I don’t think he has any heating methods, he always used to say how freezing it is in there. Something may have changed idk. Nonetheless, if you are worried about moisture, there is paint that will work called dry-lock. There is probably other kinds as well. Also there are multiple heating solutions, maybe you could look into installing insulation and garage heaters. For my small set up I use a garage heater with temperature sensors and timers. Honestly, I would suggest to go to a home depot or lowes and talk to somebody there with experience if you are able to.

I'm going to set up my garage/powerlifting gym/pain cave in the next couple of weeks and I knew that saving this video on Watch Later would help me. I'm in a different situation because unluckily the ceiling is just at 2.42 meters but great advice about the light, the wall color, and the floor indeed. I'm also adding a good automatic ventilation control system because we have more than 30°C in the summer with a lot of humidity. I have a question about your ceiling. Did you clean up everything recently over there on the top? Or there are no spiders at all in the UK? Here in Italy, after few days you'd find lot of massive spiders inside your backpacks and all the stuff you have above your head.
