This episode really brought back some really nice memories. The concrete leaf you purchased reminded me of the ones my husband and I did about 15 years ago using our huge elephant ears. I loved that craft and he did too. We had some really good times. Now we did concrete for outdoor use and we made some to display in our home using plaster of paris.Anyway just wanted to let you know how much your channel blesses me. My husband passed away in 2017 and I had not thought of those leaves in years, I've been smiling now just remembering.

Oh, Mary, I would love to see a dollhouse made and decorated by you. I love making dollhouses and miniatures in 1:12 scale. It is such a rewarding hobby that makes other people smile when they see it, whether from nostalgia or just from the aspect of seeing a 5 or 6 foot cabinet made as a 5 or 6 inch replica. Such a fun thing to do and I have no doubt your's would be as amazing as everything else you create! TFS Lov your channel.

Mary-this was so much fun! Thanks to John for filming you-all the "stuff" and the Car Show was a great surprise bonus. My aunt used to race way back in the day on a dirt track in north Louisiana...early 70's and she drove a blue Charger. The women could only race each other and it was called the "PowderPuff" event -she won many times! The women weren't allowed to race in the men's races. Wow-haven't times changed for the better. Thanks again for bringing us along on y'all's adventure. Cannot wait to see what you do with all of these items. I want to see that outfit upclose where the bottom of your skirt had layers of lace. It looked beautiful.

Oh Mary! Thank you for this video. We just moved from Hawaii to Kentucky. We sold everything we owned before leaving Hawaii and got on the plane with 2 suitcases and a carry-on each. We have nothing. No furniture. No dishes. No linens. NOTHING. I've been hitting thrift stores and fb marketplace to fill our new farmhouse with what we need. But I'm taking it slow. Not having anything is actually liberating. So, I'm taking it slow and buying stuff I love that I need, instead of just need. We'll probably sit on the chairs or on the floor until I find that perfect sofa. Anyway, we'll be going to Ohio next year for labor day it seems after watching this video. So, thank you so very much. Btw, I forgot to pack the $300 worth of norwex products I got from you when we left Hawaii. I left it in the broom closet in the house we lived in Hawaii. So, whoever lives there now is HOPEFULLY enjoying them and didn't throw them out. They were practically new. 😩 Anyway, super great big MAHALOS again for this video. So very helpful.

As I told Mary. There is a yard sale that begins in Michigan And goes through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. It is continuous. Hundreds of people participate. People show up in trucks and just follow the sale. I think it’s called The Longest Yard Sale. It happens in August .They have canceled the last year because of COVID, but not this year. It is 680 miles long and it took place August 6-8. ? But I’m sure they will resume next summer. Look it up

I love Old Time Pottery. I live in Charlotte, NC and we have one. It takes me a long time to get through ours. I loved it when John picked up the STOP sign...too cute. At times I felt I was watching two teenagers, sweetest thing ever. So enjoy your videos. Next time!

I love these kinds of trips, yard sales are definitely my thing and my daughter! The Old Time Pottery store looked at lot like the At Home store. I was in your neck of the woods from VA from Aug 13- Sept 13th helping my daughter move. I had so much fun We caught a market and hit a lot Goodwills and other thrifts stores to furnish her apt. My husband Jerry and myself have been married 49 yrs July 1st...and live in Plain City, OH... Next time down this way stop in Plain City,OH...we have some Mennonite that run The Plain City Thrift Store...there is a Cheese Shop and another shop down the road that sells meats vegetables and fruit...also we have a Der Dutchman at the edge of Plain City...

We have an old Time Pottery here in Cincinnati as well. Years ago I shopped there quite frequently. However, their prices have gone up considerably. I don’t see very many bargains there anymore. I especially liked to go there during the holiday season. They had beautiful ornaments and other Christmas adornments at very reasonable prices. Not anymore. In some cases they cost more or are comparable to other retailers. Have you ever attended the yard sale that goes from Ohio to Alabama? I would love to do that. I’m sure they would have tons of great stuff to buy. It was nice seeing what you bought but you must learn to haggle. My sister in law is great at it, I’m not. I wanted a bronze African head that a woman in NYC was selling. She wanted $700.00. My sister in law got her down to $275.00. Amazing.

What fun! I went to an Antique store recently & was pleasantly surprised how reasonable & clean everything was for most part. I found 2 copper heart shaped molds reminded me of my mom in law years ago & one has ducks embossed into it. Love them copper accents to go with my cannisters. So fun. Also a beautiful picture frameOh & hand embroidered post cards to send to friends. So pretty. Anyway thanks for sharing love garage sale finds. This summer our neighborhood had a huge block 4 day sale! I snagged some vintage outdoor dishes with a holder a wooden Michigan plaque & many other items for very reasonable. Mine would stay home and text me asking when was I coming home ETC. That's why he's my ex spouse now. I was going to ask the question "do you ask if they will take less" but you answered my question in the video. What a fun trip! I love your haul. You should try your hand at ceramics at a pottery studio. Then you could decide if you want to invest in a pottery wheel & kiln. You can skip this if you don’t want to answer, but can you talk about the small cap you wear on back of your head? I worked with a disaster recovery organization in Texas after Hurricane Harvey, and most of Mennonite teams who brought women volunteers wore the white caps. I’ve never seen one like yours. Does your whole church community wear what you do, or is it just a personal choice for your family? Thanks.

Well you certainly got quite the haul, but I must admit I had a hard time paying a lot of attention to everything. Your husband is such a hunk I found myself paying more attention to him, lol! I actually gasped out loud when I saw that Hoosier cabinet! My grandma had one that I loved dearly and being the only granddaughter and the only grandchild that showed any interest in cooking...she promised it to me. Well, it wasn't designated in her will so my uncle took it. I've always kind of been on the lookout for one. Do you happen to remember how much they were asking for it? Just curious. It didn't have the flour sifter as my grandma's had.
