I've been looking at a ton of video's such as this and they all seemed to over complicate, your simple way works for me.

I also love the neat touch of the light couple with the nice wall switch, most builds I’ve seen do leds stips with cheesy in cord switches etc, yours looks well thought out and more professional.

Nice looking job and great idea integrating the work bench. Remember to pre drill next time to avoid the timber splitting at the ends.

Thanks for the video. If your looking for a stand for your saw at all still the rigid folding saw stand is awesome. Picked one up two months ago from Home Depot for $130 down from $220. Oh and wanted to suggest saw horses and a table (even a folding table) for the saw would have made it a stand up job. Also just today picked up the kreg jig at HD for $50 down from $100. I saw other folks making similar builds with pocket screws and thought I’ll see if I can find one and happy to see it half off.

I love this design! Thnx for posting it. I especially like the touch of the bench overhang for clamping, never thought of that but know will do that. I’d suggest a nice coat of white to finish it off strong!

arm chair quarterback here...pre-drilled holes prevent wood from splitting. I like the work bench.

Thank you, sir! Great advice!

Not needed with the screws he’s using. Well deck screws have a piloting tip that bore and ease into the wood without pre-drill. Not a bad suggestion for sure but the wood shouldn’t have issues of splitting.

@@brasha78 Did you even watch the video? Did you not clearly see the wood split?

I still have a material list on my computer, but not sure if this includes extras or not. So take it for what it is. :) 24 - 2”x4”x8’ 9 - 2”x4”x6’ 5 - 3/4” plywood (4’x8’) 1 - 4’x8’ peg board You could use 1/2” ply if you wanted to save a little bit. Hope that helps. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Excellent, looking forward to build this! Just one comment it would have been nice to see how you locate the studs.. for us beginners :) thanks
@NathanWatne5 жыл бұрын
Great question, armando! I just used a standard stud finder you can buy at any home store (home depot, Lowe’s, etc). Thanks for watching and commenting! Best of luck!
@tuan165822 жыл бұрын
The only thing was you need to find the studs before design the shelves !
