Hontoni arigato gozaimasu

"Since the weight of the vehicle and the specifications of the loading platform change, a "structural change inspection" is required." It's nice to see that the US isn't the only country with burdensome regulations. The only real change was leaving out the sheet metal floor.
@minipolenet Жыл бұрын
It's the same here in Korea. If the deck of truck bed is wood, a structural change inspection is required when upgrading to sheet metal. When passed, the maximum load weight is lowered by the increased vehicle weight. I don't think this is a regulation out of common sense. The overloading of trucks seriously threatens the safety of other drivers

Rust proofing is very important in the very beginning.

I find it interesting in a weird way that the tray on this truck doesn't come off in one piece, and the use wood and build them in that way, its crazy.
My first real job was working for a company by the name of the Tom Wood truck beds. I built all kinds of truck beds, metal , wood and new and used trucks.

I was gonna say these guys look and act more like Japanese, not Chinese. Then when he talked I realized that yes they are Japanese.

WHy you choose leave this wood untreeated? You can actually char it and it will protect it from surface rot. Use burner to surface burn the wood.

It is very strange that the wooden parts look completely unprotected from the weather. As well as metal parts, by the way. If so, then this truck will need another body change... after not too long :) ...Oh no, sorry, I see that some anti-rust processing of the metal parts was done. Hope that's enough for your climate.

Checkered plated steel would be better suited to your truck and no more work on the tray. Good work

Why spend all of this time, effort and money without using a wood preservative on this pine that will not stand up to weather without it. I repaired my own trailer bed using treated lumber and then when the treatment dried, recoated it with a long lasting preservative and it still looks good after some 15 years.
It was necessary to first paint the bars and impregnate them with some kind of fuel oil so as not to rot, and then insert them into the frame. it does as in Russia, and so it will do, and even all the pieces of iron will be repaired
