You might want to check out the built in AUNbandEQ under EQ and Effects and tap the audio unit extensions menu, it gives you an 8 band equalizer, i put a Diagram on the Facebook forum, to make it a little easier to read. Apple made it a bit confusing for beginners to understand :)

if you turn on the Analyser in the EQ, you can see what the audio is doing, plus that way you can basically see what level your tracks is at that way :)
