I mix under headphones sometimes, but I ALWAYS go back to the monitors at some point. I like using both. And like you said the difference was "barely noticeable". that's important! A little here, a little there... it's the compounding factor of all those things running at the same time that makes the "big difference"

the bass reducer is after the compressor in the signal chain, so it won't add those bass frequencies back in, it will just sound fatter on those low-mid frequencies.

Hi from South Africa! Thanks, your videos have helped me a lot! Do you still offer the mixing service? I have one song that I would like your input on. I record for fun at home, but am looking to improve my mixes! Look forward to hearing back from you.

Try Spectrasonics Trilian. You can get some great bass guitar tones out of that plugin.

That was a post production issue when I was editing the video. The audio controls on my video editor were acting funny.

Hi, Lewin, what VSTs would you reccomend for bass-guitar? I tried some but they were all poorly working with midi keyboards, maybe you have some favourites?

Hi Lewin, I'm planning to make my own studio and I was wondering what you think about the m-audio bx5d2. Is it better or equal to the m-audio bx5a?

Hey, in your opinion should I get the CAD Trion 8000 or the Avantone CV-12 for vocals and acoustic stuff?? :) Thanks in advance :)

Do you think the m-audio bx5 d2s are as good or better than the bx5 a's?

You should so more videos like this. If like to see how u work in general with a basic song like where u start and where you finish. I am a super newbie and I find myself settling with a basic acoustic track because drums and bass and everything is just so confusing for me I don't know where to even begin

clicked on your link, goes to home page, and I can't get past it no matter what I click or double click on. Page won't scroll either. Been trying for a few days now and thought I would mention it. Every other web site is working for me. Really interested in your studio eguipment list.

The previous video was about signal strength...this video's audio is at least 2.5-times LOUDER than the last. ... ? Signal Checking? :-)
