Your energy & excitement is palpable and permeates not only your demeanor but your in depth and detailed honest reviews of the equipment. I thought I would just get a little here and there from Amazon later on when I was ready to upgrade, but now you have me drooling over Rogue and REP Racks. Thank you!!!! I have a rogue drop in rhino and I asked about if they could do dual stack on the side with the pulleys. All I would need is for them to make the footplate for the rhino with holes to allow the stacks on, they said they were coming out with something along that design soon. Exciting stuff

@@jCos8 wouldn’t be a weight stack loaded rhino, it would be a normal Drop in rhino with a 150lbs weight stack on each side of the rack. You currently can’t do this unless they change the footplate of the rhino to allow the side weight stacks to go on. That footplate covers the attachment points for the guide-rods. I am in the middle of building my Rogue 43” Twin Stack Functional Trainer (100” height in Burnt Orange since the rack is next to all of our KTM bikes) and am beyond IMPRESSED with the quality of EVERYTHING - Packaging - perfect, not a single ding or scratch, everything labeled and accounted for; Assembly instructions - while I’m only halfway through, it’s been a flawless assembly so far. We are just going slow because it’s still super hot here (SW UT and no mini split in the garage yet) and we like to MTB or dirt bike in the morning before we start work on our “erector set”; Build quality - again, so amazing. Everything is machined perfectly, fits perfectly, slides when it should slide and stays in place when it shouldn’t slide; Engineering - you can tell some serious thought went into the design of this product and how it all goes together while leaving options for future modifications. Side note: I also ordered a bunch of the “6 Shooter machined grip plates” but they were out of the 45# ones, so I got the Bells of Steel 45# grip plates. While the Bells of Steel plates are very nice and easy to move around, the Rogue 6 Shooter plates are just beautiful and I love them already. But the BoS plates were a lot cheaper so I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for good looking grip plates without breaking the bank.

Hi, I’m looking at the same thing, but height restricted to the 90.” There’s not a lot of reviews or comments online. Do you think the 43” depth is worth the walkout or do you think 30” would have been better? I wouldn’t want smaller than that, but it seems like 36” would be the sweet spot. Just trying to figure it out for myself. I would be using the Rogue Safety Strap System 2.0 rather than Spotter Arms
@lauriedewey

Coop, one aspect of 49" vs 47" that I don't see mentioned often is if you're tall or long-limbed having a wider inside can allow more elbow/knee room for benching and squatting and not hitting the safeties with wider stances/positions. I'm 6ft tall and MUCH prefer a wider interior rack, the small size difference is actually quite noticeable in use.
@billchurch4460
@billchurch4460 6 ай бұрын
I hear ya. I'm not even six foot, have Rogue's RM6 and even with the 49" width I find myself occasionally making contact with my safeties during certain exercises, certain positioning etc. I can't imagine what things might be like with less interior width, even if it's only two inches. Right now, it's a rare occurrence and more of a distraction when it does happen. With two less inches I could see it potentially being a problem.

To add more context, I order the single stack with 300lbs weight stack. I was told the twin stack is the same as the single stack just with two 150lbs stacks* vs a 300lbs stack on the single. With all the talks of a rhino drop in for the FM series, I wonder how that will work with only a 300lbs stack. I was also told the plate loaded has a 800lbs weight limit (the cables being the limiting factor). It seems the best bet would be opt for plate loaded to prepare for the Rhino drop in as this would allow up to 800lbs for a belt squat. I am thinking of changing my single stack to either the plate loaded or dual stack. I plan to call Rogue tomorrow to discuss further. Curious to hear others thoughts. *the two 150lbs stacks came from Rogue customer service on two different occasions.

Regarding cable placement (and, obviously, acknowledging that one cable will be on the front of the upright and the other will be behind), Coop mentioned that he prefers the Rep configuration (lower cable is on the front of the rack). I wish he had acknowledged that this could be problematic for spotter arms extended from the front of the rack (and yes, i know there are workaround solutions, such as lowering the trolley below the spotter arms - or - mounting the spotter arms from an inside-out orientation). Still, for most purposes, it seems the Rogue setup is better for spotter arms.

If you have the money for Prime then go for it. It looks overpriced to me for what it does/lacks.

I ordered the FM6-twin. Do you think they’ll be able to figure out the Rhino drop in for the twin stack version?

Really curious about the cable travel for the 100” single stack. Rogue lists the cable travel as 100” for single pull and 50” per hand for a double pull. I feel like this is adequate for most exercises but it’s a costly chance to take.

Should one expect any difference in smoothness of operation and feel in the Rogue plate-loaded version versus the single or double stack versions? Plate-loaded carriage travels on a center post while the weight stack versions travel on guide rods. Other than an interest in dropping in the Rhino for belts squats to the plate-loaded version and saving some time changing the resistance, plus a little bit of money, are there any compelling reasons to chose the plate-loaded over the single or twin stacks?

Did Rogue increase the price of their fm-6 functional trainer. I have it in my cart at $6,200?

The FM HR (single stack) is completely irrelevant unless the rhino is very important to the user. It's unnecessarily deep (+22") meanwhile the Twin is comparable to the Ares and is only 5" deeper. If you're going to use the back posts for plate storage, then the Ares and Twin are equal but the single stack sticks out beyond your plate storage. Still waiting on the 4 post twin FT add on to drop. They only have the FM-6 twin add on available. If they have the 4 post twin FT available with the uprights, they should sell it without the uprights as well since some of us can convert our existing racks.

You can reach out to Rogue directly for a quote on a 4 post. They quoted me $3150 + tax for 100” height, 24” depth, aluminum pulleys with the shrouds.
@momotart

@@BrandonSchwartz1 That's just the same price as the FM-6 twin add on even though there's less extension pieces. That said, it matches up with the FML HR (SS) 4 post add on compared to the FML HR 6 (SS) post add on.

Does the difference in upright sizing (3" vs 75mm) make much of a difference if you're going off-brand for items that fit onto the uprights, like j-cups, roller bars, bench attachments, etc.?

With the pronounced cross member rear base stabilizer (RBS), it looked like the REP stand alone lat pull-down/low row could be reasonably used as a belt squat by standing on the RBS. Does anyone know if it would be possible to use the ares 2.0 (or 1.0 for that matter) in the same way as a belt squat?
@BrandonSchwartz1
@BrandonSchwartz1 6 ай бұрын
Ares you can’t because the RBS is built into the bottom frame, but you can use the REP belt squat with it

I’d like this same technology in a Cave and/or Hyperion set up. It’s a little shallower and wider.

Considering a purchase of the plate loaded single stack Rogue FM-HR (the half rack functional trainer) but cannot seem to find answers to two questions: (1) can the FM-HR be converted to a full rack later if and when I have more space; and (2) will the drop-in Rhino work on the plate loaded FM-HR or do I have to purchase the full rack? The main reason I am leaning towards the plate loaded version is to ensure the drop in Rhino can be added later but I need to know if it will work on the half rack or if the full rack is required. Thanks Coop and I am waiting patiently for your hands on review of these Rogue functional trainers!

Was about to pull the trigger on the rep. Now I am second guessing. At 6’5” I didn’t realize Rogue offered an even taller model than 90”. Problem is Rep has a belt squat attachment that looks pretty sweet and costs way less than the Rhino drop in. I mean way less. Coop drop me a review of the two. Or just reply to the comment and let me know if reps belt squat attachment is any good. My son’s PT said he’s got to build up some butt for his out-toeing.

It appears that the Rhino Drop In only has the lat pull down feature. It looks like this drops into a power rack and comes with the lat pull down attachment. Am I missing something, or do you lose the low row and the pulley cables on the uprights with this Rhino Drop In set up?
