Just to be clear, the reason the rubber mats on the RitFit move like that in the video is because the base platform is upside down. Flip the base over as it is supposed to be, and the rubber mats sit flush with the side rails instead of on top and then they are totally stationary with no issues.

The signature fitness one is perfect for a home gym Feels great, its not that big, and way cheaper than all the other options My wife loves it, I think its insane how the bells of steel is almost 3x the price

I use a 20 dollar shower chair and put a pillow on it. It's worked up to 500 pounds so far. Its not pretty, it kind of hurts, but it works Edit: Its the Carex one. Its 44 dollars but you can get it cheaper on sale. Its officially rated up to 400 pounds but your body supports a good percentage of the weight, the chair isn't doing all the support. I haven't felt it break a sweat. Also the rating is usually not the true limit but test it anyway if you want to be ultra secure. I might try it later to see how much it can hold on its own.

Ok I loaded up 525 with the bar laying on a thick blanket in the middle of the chair. It held it with no signs of problems which I would consider to be unusual noise or bending. It doesn't actually need to hold this much because like I said it only partially supports the weight, your legs take strain off the chair while doing the movement. So all in all yeah solid piece of kit if you ask me.

You can use the flat pad on the Bulletproof Isolator inserted in the opposite side and it free rotates also. I really like using that. Or you can use a round pad down low on it if you don’t like the flat pad but I like the support of the flat pad under me. I use that with a barbell with pad.

The new photos on Bells of Steel's website show a really thick foam pad on the belt now. I have done hip thrusts using my Ab Mat preacher pad, but you have to find something to put it against so it doesn't slide, but it works surprisingly well

I have the BC Strength Thruster Pad Bar and I love it! You talked about this but didn’t demo it. It doesn’t take up much space and is just a little bit more money than the Ab mat pivot pad but is attached to a bar in case you are like me and don’t have an extra barbell lying around.

can you please do a review of the force usa c10 functional trainer with the sliding bench! 🙏🏽 (and how it compares to competitors like rep, rouge, vesta, inspire, etc) I know rep was hinting at a smith attachment coming in the future but I’m wondering if I should just go with the c10 since it has it already.

Building out my home gym - your reviews have been so helpful. I’m going to stick with unilateral one legged hip thrust with single dumbbell, min equipment needed and works best for muscle imbalances, core, and less injurious to lower back.

I'm in the market for a hip thrust machine so this is super timely. I had initially ruled out the standing version because I was afraid of the sheer force on the knee, but it seems like that might not be a problem.

I agree that lengthened-biased movements are likely superior, but I do not believe the difference is enough to avoid anything that is not lengthened -biased, i.e. banded hip thrusts. If that's what you got, get after it and you're gonna be golden.

I actually prefer the shape of the square padding for hip thrusts, and i prefer stationary pads. Ones that don't pivot or move. Everyone's different tho. I've tried pivot pads, and I have tried my Rogue multi use roller for hip thrusts and just don't like em. I use that multi use roller for bulgarians and pulldowns In my FM6
