If you plan to keep it fenderless I highly reccomened extending the front wheels out more for the rat look. Really does help the beetle like look ;) my opinions of course :)

I just found your Bug conversion video and I have only one question. If you had the original roof from the first body why did you not stretch the bug so the shell would give you more interior room for the engine and riders? The body could have been cut directly behind the door pillars and material added. The reason I mentioned the original roof is that you could have used that material for the roof lengthening.

also when I say speedometer hooked up I mean speed sensor on transmission it has to be hooked for VTEC solenoid to kick in awesome project tho shit is going to fly should make 300 wheel hp easy even more on e85 assuming engine is stock ad rods pistons and arp studs sky is the limit great build

Well if the turbo can handle free spooling under that kind of RPM. they'll definitely handle making boost... talk about getting the turbo up to their Max RPM trying to make boost with no ability to make pressure. I hope the gates aren't hooked up. I've seen people do that and fins go shooting through the compressor housing... I'm guilty of it myself after blowing couplers.

Cool idea ,new sub here ,what base map does the hondata have GSR? Sounds like the map needs to be clean up some but the hardest part is done ,it's swapped and running ,now take ur time putting it together and get the pedal asambly lined up it will be more confident inspiering to driver feedback .can't wait for more content ,do clean work no rice buisness what are the power goals ?

ray rep it will spin those small turbos just fine there are actually several Honda race cars running twins now one that size and one way bigger the orange crx on pfi channels for instance was and I think still is

@@ninablatchley842 well I am in the process of building a twin system with a oem T3 ford mustang SVO application turbo that will spool at 1500rpm and at 18psi The second bigger turbo called a T61 takes over above 3500rpm to 8000rpm. The small turbo fills in the bottom end that the Big turbo can't. Some builds just use Nitrous to get the big turbo to spool sooner but the cost of always needing nitrous is a con. Maybe that is what the Honda team is doing. I will look into the Orange crx though.

In all honesty I don’t know haha we didn’t have any o2s hooked up so Dennis put an open map on it so it would run rich before it ran lean, so it by no means was running good. We’ll have a new update video on Sunday if all goes according to plan

How hard was the bswap? They say the kswap is much easier because the motor/crank turns counter clockwise same as vw so the the mounting is straight forward unlike the b motor? Yes b swap are much more budget friendly but may spend more than intended on custom fabricated parts? Boxer and rotary engines are popular with these vdubs and preaty simple...

Carlos Trujillo we didn’t want to spend money building vw transmissions so we literally cut the front of an Integra off and basically welded it to the rear of the bug. So we are using full Honda engine bay, b18, b18 trans and axels

VTEC for sure is not worked make sure speedometer is hooked up alot of times if ecu want read speed sensor VTEC want work also make sure solenoid is hooked up and clean inside screen cause u would for sure here VTEC with a open exhaust and it's not coming it it will be a huge power difference u wouldn't be like I think VTEC came in u would be like HOLY SHIT VTEC came in lol just trying to help

Not worthy for pfi. Clean everything up wires. throttle. rust. I would feel bad bringing that to brent

rasta wizard hahahaha 3 things. 1. Brent has seen the bug multiple times and absolutely loves it. 2. The car has no rust 3. It’s not finished yet and there are clearly bigger tasks to finish first before we clean up the wiring and other little things. Thanks for the comment 😁

Turbos weren’t hooked up, all engine on a stock gsr map

The exhaust is super weird and it’s running rich so that why it sounds goofy
