On my rotational days I love to use bands Clubbells and kettlebells, including different kinds of get ups like one where I will lay down flat, set up not moving my feet, pull my legs into a 90/90 position, grab the steel club and then use my hips to start the get up process, and when it comes to strength the bent press is where it's at

New sub. I'm more of a runner but I love strength building. I noticed I really need work on my core this off season to prevent some of the issues I picked up at the end of my races.

When I do the tornado I do it pushing (as you demonstrated) then super set it with the same movement but pulling.

Mitchell hooper had a pretty great tip for paloff press or any anti- core exercise which is breath out - you don’t want to use the valsalva manoeuvre to generate any of he tension - instead only rely on the core musculature

I like these Chinese side bends as an alternative to doing wood chops for obliques, I will be implementing this, do you think doing it with bands could work as well?

Your idea sounds pretty good. You and your body are the laboratory ; try it and see how it works!

Hi Dane As a wrestler i doing a lot explosive pummeling curl with kettlebells, do you think that exercise may be better than that chinese thing what you show on your video? There is still good feeling of trunk and more benefits for hand fight. What is your thoughs on that?

As a former comp cheerleader, my favorite core workout was back tuck drills. My abs would be ACHING for daaaays afterwards

What if I’m pretty strong at all of these type of core movements but fairly weak at moves like hanging leg raises and sit-ups. Should I train those weaknesses or just keep building the more functional ones.

I really enjoy your videos and content 👍. I don't enjoy you moving your hands so much. I am ae grown man not a little kid. Learn lot's from your videos even if it's one thing i thin will help and cross over to my lifting combative training i do.

Hey I don’t know if this is a good workout but I taught by my strength coach to do one arm dumbbell bench press with half of your body off the bench. The side that is off is the side in which your dumbbell is in hand. I always get a good burn in the obliques when I do it but idk
@johannesx7958 Жыл бұрын
that sidebend looks great but is there a unique benefit to the eccentric or is it just more time efficient than the unilateral one?

No one said this video was about building washboard abs though. It's about building an athletic physique. Athletic meaning one that allows for stability, explosiveness, etc. Which all 3 of these do. Visible abs are not the same as strong ones.
@Boss3Nate Жыл бұрын
@@thebeatmajors_yt thanks for pointing that out…. I didn’t say anything different or that these wouldn’t do what you say they’ll do. But keep being a KZbin hero
