I was 24, and listening to this on my boom box sitting out by the pool at my apartment complex, along with Black Hole Sun (Soundgarden), Champagne Nupernova (Oasis), Undone - The Sweater Song (Weezer), Everything Zen (Bush), Vasoline (Stone Temple Pilots), Tomorrow (Silverchair), Possum Kingdom (Toadies) and Deja Voodoo (Kenny Wayne Shepherd). I look back at the 90's so fondly...that decade was easily the peak of our country culturally IMHO. Then came 9/11, wars, terrorism, and then something even worse than you can imagine...political correctness, social justice and cultural marxism. They are a cancer eating away at the soul of our country and I believe that tumor is in stage 4 now, and our country is at the crossroads. I come back to listen to music from the 90's (grunge and post grunge was my favorite), old school rock from the late 60's and the 70's (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc) or blues (pretty much everything from Buddy Guy to Junior Kimbrough to SRV to KWS to Joe Bonamassa to Marcus King) to lift my spirits and take me back to better times.

Being a scot always interested with Shirley Manson fronting. What always blew me away though was how polished and professional a rock sound Garbage have. It gives free reign for Shirley to let loose vocally and be a total vixen while doing it. Always felt Garbage we're generally loved but should have been even bigger. Their music and talent is phenomenal,

What puts this song over the top artistically is the chorus. When she starts singing "Poooooour your misery down on me," it almost feels as if it's literally raining rock n' roll. Perfect execution from Shirley Manson.
