This boss seems to completely ignore my insulating and magic barrier spells. He seems to do as much damage with those up as he does without them being up. I also can't silence him which sucks. Bounce works but you can't heal the toon. Luckily he seems to do more magic/breath attacks than physical. Also you'd think you'd be safe from paralysis with the insulating spell. Man I miss multiheal. I think i'm too low level for this guy. 35, 32, 28, 26. need to level em up. make some sages.

I just beat him just now, when he goes buffing himself up, I just spam kaclang to a point he has no mp left & stop buffing himself. Btw my team lvl was 32 (Hero), 29 (Sage), 30 (MW) & 27 (Monk) 🤣From there I just mauled his ass, while he tries to spam spell with no MP. Just try to stall until he loses mp!

@@Orchid774 I'm on draconian and none of the armors or accessories are blocking or reducing damage. Kinda shady of Enix.

@@MochaCoffeeBreakSeems like the most viable strategy. After trying to fight him straight up, I was barely able to beat this guy.. after the third try. This guy is harder than Zoma was on GBC. I get it, the game needed more bosses… but what’s with Square flipping the script and making trick bosses?

this boss sucks as it is but let me tell you this bastard is a nightmare on draconian difficulty. i'm genuinely considering putting the game down because this shit isn't challenging, it's just obnoxious RNG bullshit to pad game time. you want this game to feel like unbalanced bullshit from 1989? play on draconian quest. it honestly feels like i need multiheal to have a chance. up to 3 attacks per turn at seemingly random intervals (more often than not he gets all 3), the asshole loves to spam burning breath and dazzle, that inferno attack WILL wipe your party without insulate, and he has an obnoxious ability that lowers your attack and he LOVES to use it on my warrior RIGHT AFTER I GET SET UP WITH BUFFS AAAAAGGGHHHH THIS SUCKS!!!!

but luckily i learned you can just spam kaclang. so good. a trash boss deserves to be dealt with unceremoniously.
