Buffet looks good with plenty of selections. Prime rib should be on the grill for 30 seconds each side.

DANNY THE MEDIC- ROTI is made with whole wheat flour, while NAAN is made with white flour. You are not supposed to eat it alone, it is supposed to be torn in pieces to scoop your lamb or butter chicken and eaten in one bite, just like you would eat Mexican Food "FAJITAS" with a Tortilla...

Danny is right about the "wings" at O'Sheehan's. It was like boiled wings with tomato sauce over it. The cook had no concept.

NCL Alaskan cruise was the 1st cruise 🛳. A lot of Indian foods served daily.

DTM when you were cutting the prime rib I thought it was going to "mooo". At least it wasn't bloody rare. I hate when you go to a lobster/prime rib buffet and the best thing is either the spaghetti, desserts or sometimes salad (sorry DTM).

What most big buffets use for coffee is a liquid coffee concentrate. The concentrate comes in plastic container that is approximately 9" x 12" x 3" and is frozen. One is kept in a refrigerator, thawed ready to use. It is placed in a machine that produces hot water to mix with the concentrate. The frozen concentrates are also available in hot chocolate, cappacino, chicken broth and other flavors. They have made a shelf stable concentrate that doesn't need to be refrigerated but the frozen concentrate when dispensed tastes more like fresh brewed.

Hope you enjoyed yourself. NCL has a pretty nice food selection, but after 3-4 days it can be pretty monotonous. Hope you tried ALL the free things on the ship!

That's just about how I feel about cruise line coffee - it's good enough to drink for the caffeine, but not good enough to drink for pleasure. I would treat myself to an occasional espresso (usually an extra charge). Looking forward to seeing what you think of the main dining room!

DANNY THE MEDIC- WOW there is FAR more food than one would imagine! I am glad they didn't entice you into paying extra money for premium items, they variety they offer is pretty cool!! The lift up cabinet for the desert is the SAME we had in the Army, except all we had was Apples or Green Jello with Whipped Cream... the only things the Government would pay for!🤪

You can get a free cruise if you gamble in the casino and get about 12,000 points. The higher the points the better cabin you can get like ocean view or Veranda with terrace.

I really like the inside cabin because it is the cheapest.. they also have a solo cabin, built for a solo traveler that is even smaller, but that actually costs more than this inside due to a promo of some kind.. i like cheap...

Yes. If you think about it , less than $100 a day for room, food, transportation, entertainment, casino, going to a new place is a pretty good deal for cheap guys like us. lol. I only started cruising a few years ago. I have been to numerous places in Caribbean. I also went on Alaska cruise, a great place if you decide you like cruising. But cruises have become so popular they are getting more expensive.

The coffee is freshly brewed Italian Lavazza beans. You can get your prime rib cooked more. Tell the server & he/she will throw it on the grill behind them. My fav is the noodle soup station where I have at least 1 bowl of noodle soup daily. You should have a casino comp drink card. Don’t have to wait for servers to come around. Go to Sky bar & get your drinks there with your card. Tip the bartender/server and he'll won't mind that you are ordering comp drinks at the bar. As long as the casino is open, you can get comp drinks from the bar, including water bottles. Limit is 2 drinks per order, up to $10 max (or $12 max, I can't remember).

"In between good and bad" is just about the perfect description of cruise coffee. It's not so bad that you'll refuse to drink it, but it's not so good that you're constantly going back for more. It's right up there with another KZbinr's description of Red Bull: "Why does it taste like this?"

​@@dannythemedic, I was just on the Escape. The $100 table had decent rules and was 3:2. Video poker sucked at every denominaton. Please do some follow up videos on the casino play specifically. How many player points you got on the cruise and then any follow up on what comps they send you. I have also been told that NCL is not big on mailers or emails, that you actually have to call in to the Casino at Sea department with a specific cruise you are interested in and see what they can offer you.

I felt it was a scam from the FIRST TIME I ever looked into cruises, they advertise a price, then you find out it is for 2 people in a tiny room... ever since then I felt like they were a big scam and avoid them... LONG AGO, I got casino cruises but avoided them because of the FEES... but this time I bit the bullet and paid the darn fees... and it was a good deal at 358. 5 days of food plus that tiny room included.
