The company I used to work for did the same thing, bought new trucks with underpowered engines and the arms slowed down. My CNG Automizer that I use for the company I currently work at is way faster thankfully.

Mixed emotions. Still remember those old videos when GCS still ran their diesel trucks daily. On the other hand, it's good seeing a Peterbilt in GCS scheme and I will agree with you on the revving and engine fan! Peterbilts have a neat distinctive engine fan for clean emission trucks that is unique to it. Hopefully Labrie makes their trucks revvable soon, it would make for an interesting video. As for CWS, any word on when their clean fleet is coming and what it is? What cart brand are they buying? Saw that EG and im curious now lol.

GCS/CWS only buys rehrig or other cart brands when they're in desperate need of bins and otto can't fufill their orders quickly enough. nothing so far is on the table for what CWS will buy since I don't think they've even settled on a budget being alloted for purchasing new trucks

I recently got a brand new Automizer in December where I work and it’s the same thing with my truck, the arm is pretty slow and stiff. I notice when it’s warmer out the arm is faster but it’s been so cold in the CT since Christmas that the arm is really slow. The mechanics said it takes about 4-5 months to properly break the arms in.

i dont think these units are gonna get any faster though. drivers have been complaining about these trucks not being revvable and the arms being intentionally set to a low speed

@@GarbageTrucksofSanJose So the interesting thing about reving with my new truck, it speeds the arm up if you are going in and out with the arm, but not up and down which is weird. I get around that by going up and in with the arm at the same time. These trucks might continue to break in a bit more even if they were intentionally slowed down . Mine is slow simply because of the weather. The first week I had it, it was almost 60 degrees each day and was whipping lids but since we have been stuck with this cold weather, it’s painfully slow.

Nice one! I really like this truck. One thing I don’t like is that piece of metal in front of the arm and you can’t see the trash coming out. But other than that, the truck is a beauty!

I drive an Automizer myself and that shield on the arm is nice to have. Helps prevent spills.
@GarbageTrucksofSanJose2 жыл бұрын
i must say that its effectiveness as a spill shield heavily outweighs the obstruction of view to a filmer
@Marvo8172 жыл бұрын
@@GarbageTrucksofSanJose It’s a lifesaver quite honestly. My old truck didn’t have one and recycling used to spill everywhere. Never happens now with the shield.
