Thanks! It's good to be home. You still have plenty of time. Any plans yet as to what you're growing?

First time growing kale, climbing beans and dahlias for me. It's definitely been a learning experience. 😊

I think actually growing something new is the best possible way to get to know how it will grow in your garden. Good luck with them all! ☺️

GLAD you're back home safe and sound, as well as making this video! To answer your question - yes, there are several things I'm trying to grow this year that I haven't before - Raspberry Daiquiri Agastache, Blue Borage and Roma Tomatoes.

Raspberry Daiquiri Agastache sounds very interesting! I need to look that up 👀 I have some pretty exciting videos over the coming weeks, so busy bee here. We're having another cold snap so I have to hit the pause button, but lots going on and I'm looking forward to this spring 💗

@@tennesseenana4838 I don't know that catalogue, but I'll have a look - they sound really cool! ☺️

Lovely to see you back, hope you enjoyed your visit back to your home land. I'm going to see if I can grow at least one kalette plant in a container. The reason being I have been taking part in the Kalette crazy challenge, but our allotment site is under threat and we're having to vacate the site by November ( we're fighting it so hoping I will see the kalettes come to fruition) but if we do lose the allotments I hope I can grow at least one kalette plant at home. I've never had much luck growing Brussel sprouts so I'm trying Kalettes to see if I can be successful with them.

I wish you luck in keeping your allotment, I remember you telling me that before. I had hoped it was settled by now. Keep up the good fight! And good luck with the kalette! I'm trying the flower sprouting kale and so far, no luck. I'm not a quitter, though x

I bet it'll be fine! I tried growing them outside last year and got one fruit, which a beastie got before me! I'm hoping to grow them in the greenhouse this year myself. We can cheer each other on ☺️

Great to see you back in your garden. I'm growing potatoes, beetroot , red onions, peppers and pickling cucumbers all for the first time! ahhh lol Question for you, once you plant your potatoes (in the spring, in grow bags) how often should you water them?
@robinscontainergarden Жыл бұрын
Thank you! 💗 Ah, turning the tables on me, eh? 😉 I only ever water the potatoes prior to the stalks coming up if the soil looks dry. Once the plants start sprouting, I water them as I do everything else. I bury my finger into the soil to the second knuckle. If dirt sticks to my finger, it's fine, if it comes out dry, it needs water. In the hottest part of the summer, that may be more than once a day, but that's rare for here.
