In this video I'll show some of my fails in gardening. It does'nt always go as planned. Also I'll show you a tasting of the Kellogg's Breakfast Tomato and making some salsa with the Purple Reign Tomato.

I have tried growing the Ka'ala Bell Pepper from U.H. Manoa seed program and that produced smaller bell peppers (snack sized). I'm currently trying to grow regular sized bell peppers from seed and we'll see how that goes. Thank you for sharing with Hawaii gardeners the challenges of vegetable gardening here. I am also currently growing Pink Berkeley Tie Dyed tomato which I have found to be a great tasting tomato although it takes forever to produce fruit, but they are worth the wait.

Awesome to see the fails as well. Doesn’t that make us better in what we do, You have some unique tomatoes. It would be cool if you could show us how you would plant garlic in Hawaii? A video on that would be so cool.

I researched about garlic and unfortunately it does not grow well in our climate or places with no winter months. Our climate is too hot unfortunately to grow garlic. I've seen some folks grow "elephant garlic" in Florida, but it is different from the garlic we know in the grocery stores. Thanks for watching!

It's so hot here still. Almost like an Indian Summer. It was actually very cool and pleasant throughout the whole summer and just this past week it's been humid hell! Hoping we can continue to grow more tomatoes throughout the year.

Those tomatoes look so juicy. Like you, we had a fail. Our bush green beans didn't produce what we thought they would. But that might have been our fault. We might have put too much water in our kratky container and the plant drowned. We only got to enjoy about 12 of the beans, but we are trying again. Thanks for sharing your garden with us. Do you ever add cilantro and lime juice to your salsa?

Oh no about the green beans! All we can do is try again right? I do add cilantro and forgot! I have cilantro growing in the yard too. I love cilantro. I don't put lime though. Not because I don't like it, usually I don't have it around. I do love lime in guacamole though!
