Lynn, the journey of creating such a garden is so therapeutic and once those creative juices start, they seem to keep coming. It all looks wonderful. Jeri Landers of Hopalong Hollow has been a 'go to' for me for ideas and inspiration in creating and adding to my garden room spaces, as she calls them. Look forward to your spring tour. ") In Joy

Yes you are so right too about how ideas just start to flow! I've been dreaming of spring this year so I can get out there and decorate it now~ I hope you have a great week friend! How lovely that you have your garden’s story saved on video. I love your magnolia tree! I have always wanted one of those, but I have been a little intimidated by our winters which used to be very harsh. But we really have not had a wicked one for quite a while now. You garden looks like a perfect place to retreat with a big mug of tea and a good book. Keep an eye on those pretty Rose of Sharon’s. I planted some and the next thing I knew they were popping up everywhere. 😊 I love them anyway. I always thought about planting Lily of the valley around one, but I haven’t got to that. Happy growing!

Thank you Deborah! Yes, it was quite the work going back and trying to find older pics of the area! When we moved in decades ago it was only 2 ash trees and one chokeberry bush!!!! Everything here in the back, except a few of the landscape shrubs near the house, I have planted, lol! Since last year I have started reclaiming my yard from neglect during the "busy years" and it's lots of fun and work, lol. But I have always wanted a quiet little area where no one really knows you are in there!! There are hummingbirds and the occasional backyard bird that flies in there, but that is so nice too! Seeing them up close! Yes, we had ROS growing up when I was like 3! Then my parents had them at the new house so I got some offspring! I've learned to trim off the buds once they flower to keep them at bay but I have tons to take out since I just started claiming that secret garden area....little by little they should be thinned out. So pretty though. Lily of the valley smell soooo amazing in bloom. Had them under our saucer magnolia at our old house! I'd love to add them here! Thanks so much for watching and all your kind and helpful words! I appreciate that!!! Have a beautiful weekend! -Lynn

Thank you Diane!!! Yes, it just sort of grew into that over the years of not really doing much back there.....I started to see the perfect getaway spot for coffee!! It was a lot of work, mostly in the heat of summer last year but worth it!! I will definitely be doing many more garden videos this growing season as I decorate that garden along with the cottage garden and the potting bench area along with the stone path! I also have some great decor shops that I have visited and will be adding those tours!!! I hope you have a Happy Easter to my friend! Take care, Lynn
