How many (and which) Hue lights were used in the back garden install? Looks like quite a large number… I got the base set of 3 Hue Lilys and will see how useful that will be in my (smaller) garden. Probably I could distribute 12 Lilys, but that would turn really expensive…

I like that a lot , but you had to spoil it and mention the app😂 Na it’s ok if you’re neighbours ant star gazers, all that light pollution wonderful. I do like it though. Fantastic video Joe as always 👍👍👍

Does the control box part of the power supply need to be kept under cover? Or is it as water proof as the lights? If it's not weather proof, how would one go about keeping it safe, is there an accessory for it?

Waterproof but can’t be laying on the ground so just screw it into timber just above ground level

How do I keep front door Philips hue lights from bedroom lights as when I say to Alexa on my sonos beam it's turning all lights on including Front door light. Do I need another hue bridge just for outdoor lights ?

Phillips is brilliant stuff but the price soon adds up to a lot. I swapped all my Phillips gear over to govee the app isn’t as good as Phillips but the gear is affordable to most as it’s cheap but it’s reliable and good.just wish Phillips were cheaper as the colour smoothing is better than govee stuff

Yeah, sometimes it's just a matter of you get what you pay for. 👍

@@efixx yeah and hue definitely isn’t worth it. Colour brightness is worst on the market. Perfect scenario would be LIFX lights with hue system.

@@efixx no but there are simpler solutions to the same requirement as demonstrated by David Savary, who uses an LED driver at the property to supply exterior garden lights, which are re-equipped with ELV LED lamps, in order to avoid running a low voltage supply via swa to lamps or lamp drivers.

Yes but you have quality my brother ...I spent nearly 1300 for living room , dining room and kitchen ....if you want the best you always pay more for premium products ....for me is longevinity , I had 3 light bulbs over 4 years ....dident replace them yet ...so yeah if you want good quality and producs for lights , dosent ghet better than hue , thank you and have a good one

@@efixx No it's not and neither is very expensive for most people. Good vids though !

@@stevejagger8602 Sir... if the requirement is app-controlled, color changing landscape lighting, then your statement is false. Also note that plugging in Hue bulbs is faaaar simpler (and faster) than cobbling together products from three different companies. If you only want a single color then it's almost as easy at 1/10th the price.
