You just amaze me at how your work flows into the old places of my heart. I was raised barning tobacco and shelling peas and picking cucumbers and flowers. I can still smell the tobacco curing in the old barns that were down a dirt path. You convey those feelings well. My husband just bought 1 of your stuffed envelopes. I just love your work. You are such a joy to listen and learn from.

Rhonda, I would love to be able to put my feelings into a journal, the way you do. You're just so creative. Each project that you'd made, tells a story and I just love that. I visited my father during the summer and I had to pick cucumbers and peas and everything else that was coming off the garden. The summer's between my college years, I had to put up tobacco, but we called it, barning tobacco. You talk about hard, dirty work. I'd do it all again. We spent a many of nights, on the porch, shelling peas and just listening to the summer sounds. How I'd love to make a journal that would convey all those feelings. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing the beauty, such as this garden memories journal, that you have created. Great job. Oh, my husband just purchased your stuffed envelope. Thank you so much for sharing this, Trish! I can picture everything you described. I spent many a summer days shelling peas too. We always had a garden and I loved picking those fresh veggies. We’d cut rose blooms to bring inside, and always went berry picking! We had fig trees and pecan trees, so always lots of hard work to keep up with! I loved going to my granny’s where I’d help her gather eggs and she’d even have to whop a snake with a stick sometimes lol. My dad would take us camping on the creek where we’d catch fireflies and cook fresh caught fish over an open fire. So many good memories!🥰 Thank you for all your sweet compliments. Hi, Karyn… I just use the books in their original state without adding anything. I might should add a layer of protection, but I just like to keep them as is. Most of the ones I use are already worn and tattered anyway, so it really wouldn’t help I don’t think. I’m sorry I’m not more help on this. Hope you enjoy your day.😊
