You planted the one and only RIGHT type of Amish paste tomatoes; you just didn't realize they are indeterminate. ;-)

You are absolutely right if it's a determinate then it's a want to be fake Amish paste. The real Amish paste are in indeterminate

I can't find any Amish paste determinate tomatoes. I ordered what I thought was determinates but when I was ready to plant them they were indeterminate, now I am in trouble lol

Detwiler...I thought you were a local. I'm here in Hatfield. This year I'm growing from seed, Amish Paste tomatoes...for canning of course. I've never grown Amish Paste, so this will be a new learning experience for me. I also have raised beds...some are Hugel beds. My Amish Paste seeds are all germinating nicely...infact, they were the first of all my seeds to pop up. Wish me luck!

Your gardens are very lovely and peaceful. Thank you for sharing your insight with us. My amish paste tomatoes are just forming fruit and it is very exciting I also have a couple of San Marzano along with several other varieties. Many blessings to you.

Do you have a video about flower growing? I don't know when to plant the seeds for flowers. I concentrate on veggies then along July I want flowers. Haha

I don’t have any videos about growing flowers, although my wife does plant some zinnia seeds in the early spring for our flower garden in the summer!

I want to plant these Amish Paste tomatoes because I cook with a lot of spaghetti sauce and my canner has been sitting around. Most of the seed companies don't tell you the size of the plants and someone on Etsy said 4-6 feet tall and 2-3 feet apart. I plan to plant tomatoes in 2019 and hope for the best because last summer the drought was awful.

I made the same mistake, sort of. Half the time I see Amish Paste listed as determinate and half the time indeterminate. They are definitely indeterminate. I have no idea why anyone would want an indeterminate paste tomato.

I made a mistake one year when buying my beloved Brandywine tomato. I assumed it was the original pink one but ended up being red. I won’t make that mistake again-lesson learned, READ THE LABEL!! 😄

I am over indeterminate tomato plants. No more. Ive got stakes 14 ft tall in my garden and they keep growing. But too much for me to handle. I'm only 5'2. I actually didn't know what type paste seed these were. They came in an heirloom variety pack with lots of seeds. At any rate, I'm hunting for a Great tasting paste tomato determinant variety. Do any of you have a favorite that doesn't take the whole garden? Lol, I have 20 of these huge plants growing out of control 😅.

I have to defend doctors a little bit here. Many educate patients on diet and lifestyle, but too often the patient is looking for a pill for a quick fix so they do not have to change their lifestyle. Take lipitor so you can have the cheeseburger, for example.

Please be kind to us healthcare providers. None of us would encourage poor health practices to make money. I celebrate every time any of my patients are improving through lifestyle changes and I am able to discontinue one or more of their medications.

Fred is right and wasn’t being unkind to doctors. You don’t accept live chickens as payment any more and pharmaceutical companies aren’t 501 C-3s.

OK so you have a tomatoes jungle. Keep them growing, you may be canning a little more than you planned.
