I'm an early riser too - usually awake at 4 AM, but don't get out of bed till 5 or 6. That was a chubby rattle snake! Must've just eaten breakfast. Great bike ride ladies. Love your videos.

Beautiful. I like these videos on bicycles. I've been hiking so much since I met you earlier this year. Interesting hiking story. 2 weeks ago I made it to the top of Picacho Peak, which is a very tough hike/climb. First time ever. Exactly 1 week later a plane crashed right below the summit, right into the trail. Not good, glad I wasn't up there for that. Can't wait to do it again. I summited another mountain around here recently as well. Inspired by your videos and memories of my grandfather. Thanks.

Awesome ladies! I am, among other things, a cyclist. I recommend you buy a red flashing light for your seat post and a flashing white light for your handle bars. It makes it easier for vehicles to see you. The vehicle that pulled out in front of you was looking for vehicular traffic and may not have seen you. They may not have pulled out in front of you on purpose.

I always use the flashing lights on my road biking. I've found a lot of cars just are not looking for a bike when they glance around at intersections.

Beautiful! I’m contemplating at this moment about going to Colorado Springs in the Fall to visit a van conversion shop. I’m making do car camping out of my Subaru Outback for the short term. I will make a point to visit Garden of the Gods!! I miss being out there wherever I choose. Thanks again for bringing us with you!

I don't really road bike anymore unless I'm on a connector on the way to a rec trail. I know the route you were on and looks like it's a good one...might try some of it this fall when there's less tourists. i've been out of town house sitting and rode my old bike in very gusty winds at Aurora Reservoir (always wanted to bike that perimeter trail). It turned out to be quite a workout because of the wind! Great ride :) Thanks for the video - awesome as always!

Curious. On an average hike,like this one, do you have a set number of miles in mind before you start out. When you cycle is there always a set number of miles planned? Or do you just hike and cycle until you feel “done”?
