Yay the bat's returned home & the adorable pink bat at the end is a great addition ❣️ 1 weed at a time & bf you know it you'll be looking at a lovely garden. Sure wish I was there to help I love gardening, it's very therapeutic for me, and Nettles is 1 of the most nutrient dense food we can eat- quiche, soup, pesto, etc...& great herbal medicine too...when you have time you may want to look into it, and perhaps save a very small section or transplant in a pot for future placement ...big 💞 & 🫂

You can see the bones of a beautiful garden space under the overgrowth and broken fencing. And I can totally understand how discouraging it was for you and Spanky to work so hard to get it in shape and then have it go wild again. I started developing rheumatoid arthritis and its associated rheumatoid lung disease ten years ago. As a single mum, my kids have only just hit adulthood now, so my main focus was getting them through school. My house and garden could really do with a huge overhaul, we are waiting for a move into a property with adaptions for me as my lungs are declining. But it all takes a long time and in the mean time I feel like I’m living in chaos. So I really feel you. You guys will get there I’m sure. We love you pixie xx❤

My goodness Pixi my lovely- that is a huuuuuuge undertaking, but if I know nothing else; I know that your vision for what you want sounds AMAZING & WOW what a big beautiful garden you’ve got! I grew up living in building sites (my dad is a builder- retired now bless him) & my mum is a qualified interior designer- so they literally bought run down houses & spent years doing them up & moving as we needed more space (fun fact- one of our houses was condemned so all 4 of us (I was about 7 & my sis was 4) so we had to live in a caravan in our back garden till our house was safe to live in!💯🤭 & we literally grew up with gardens so overgrown the grass weeds & nettles were taller than we were as kids (and our loo was a Victorian outhouse which consisted of a wooden bench with a hole in it & an old porcelain basin & we’d have to use buckets of water to flush🤭🤣but the end result was always AMAZING & we’d all do our bit to help out & my dad did things like use trees that had to be cut & a wooden pallet to make a little bridge over a stream & making honeysuckle archways etc & our garden backed onto fields & there were wild woods to the side of it- that was one of the smaller garden jobs they did so I know how much hard work goes into making a garden look beautiful from an overgrown wilderness! the volunteer ideas has merit. We have a huge garden at work (retirement home for elderly people) and it suffered a lot during Covid and we also had a flood. So after nearly 4/5 years it is still nice (we have to keep it sort of updated) but some parts were so badly overgrown. Our city (and the army camp in the town as well) decided to donate 6 hours wotrth of charity and we had that day this thursday. It was actually a huge sucsess we did not get everything done, but half od the work was covered AND our old people had so much fun! But I can understand you do not want people to pass through your house (and most likely need to go to the loo)

Had my first guest visitor other than my safety person( my son) last weekend . They stayed for an hour talking and I even got a hug in. It felt good . At least I have my cat( not a cat lady) and my adult son lives in a house behind me.He checks on me everyday.
