Was there a reason you peeled the plastic off the facias before you nailed on ? I see Liam Griffin taps the nail in slightly before peeling off the plastic. However it's a great job !!

I've seen pretty much all the youtube garden builders do it Liam's way as well, nail the fascia on first but leaving the nails slightly proud before taking the plastic off and then hammering them home. I tried that with my first fascia and the plastic still got stuck on some of the nails and I found it a ball ache to get the little annoying bits of plastic wrap off them. So for the rest of the fascias, I took the plastic off first. It's only there to protect the fascia in transit and whilst cutting etc... once you're literally just about to install it, you can take the plastic off and just be careful not to scratch the surface. Much easier this way, and you can hammer the nails all the way home in one go, rather than go back along the length of the fascia a 2nd time... just saves a bit of time and for me personally, was less fiddly. And thank you 🙂

Looking great! How are you going to access the back to clad it? It looks really tight on space
@grim-upnorth
@grim-upnorth Ай бұрын
@@SamHolmes06oh the camera angle is deceptive, I've got lots of space back there, around 1.2 - 1.3 metres around the back and side 👍

Great video but can we have a bit more info 😊

@@JamesClark-xm7bu depends what kind of info you want. I'm not a professional builder, carpenter, joiner or roofer... so I try and avoid giving advice or telling "how to" do something.
