Hello thanks for your information. I have those shrubs do I need too space them apart when I begin too plant them?
@FinegardeningMag2 жыл бұрын
That would be best. You'll want to find what their mature size will be and leave that amount of space between them, unless you plan on moving them later on after they begin to crowd (not recommended)!

Great video! I always thought the hole should be deeper and filled with good soil underneath.

Do not Box cut he was doing it right the 1st time. only tease the roots loose Starting from the bottom and loosening anything that's going round in round in circles do not cut from top to bottom through your entire route ball you might need those routes in fact you do

how far from a structure should you plant a shrub?
@juliemoll87114 жыл бұрын
oops! I think I goofed and didn't mess up the roots enough- I was afraid I would hurt it. Will my boxwood still grow? :(
@bentremy4 жыл бұрын
Should be fine. If boxwoods can take root in these dense Texas clay soils they should be able to grow anywhere.

No fertilizer, compost, or anything else at planting time???

My guess, idea to encourage roots to develop more aggressively into soil in seek of nutrients which in long run will lets plant be more resilient. With nutrients readily available around the crown right after planting will direct roots to stay where they are as that area is more saturated with them.

I think that depends a lot on your soil. I always use a mix of peat moss, manure and top soil in a 1-1-1- mix
