I was wondering how your garden was doing. Thank you for the update. It looks wonderful.

Love the update! Beverly - you can always cut horn worms in half with your garden shears/pruners. Or buy BT and give em a shot of spray - bu-bye 👍

Your garden looks wonderful , I'm so excited for you and your wife when you can begin to build on your property . It's been really dry and hot here in eastern NC, but I just managed to put up my cucumber pickles , getting ready for to do my tomatoes .. didn't plant corn this year because a friend of ours is sharing his with us , praise God ! Property looks amazing for your work shop and home !

Hi Dan & Beverly! Powdery mildew gets my squash every time I try to grow it.

Someone recommended using peroxide and water, we haven’t tried it yet, but we will and see if it works

@@pureheartshomestead1742 I've been using that to fight fungus gnats in my indoor "lab" but didn't think about using it on powdery mildew. Need to give it a try.

Your garden is taking off! Agree with one of the other comments baking soda and little Neem oil or any oil to help it stick applied with a garden sprayer. MI Gardener put out a KZbin video on how to apply it. My husband is the great horn worm picker in our household too. Although I picked a couple eggs and a small one off today.

I have always had good luck with dusting sulfur. Works well as a preventive for mildew. Have used it for years on my flowers that like to get mildew. Do have to reapply after a rain. Is considered organic. Have been using on my tomatoes this year and so far they look good. This is my first year for raising veggies. Have heard that petunias around tomatoes help with aphids. Can’t vouch for that but I have them by my tomatoes and no aphids so far. If you cover collards etc. with tulle will help keep bugs off.

Wow guys everything looks great! No worries Beverly I think they're yucky horneorms too but i hate them so i pick em off and give them the boot! We haven't had aphids but I'm battling squash bugs and flying cucumber bugs. I love your natural garden! You are so lucky no deeds have come in. What zone are you in again? Great tour you guys!

How far from where you live is this property? How often do you get out there? Sorry if it seems nosey, I am just curious. Everything looks so pretty out there.
@pureheartshomestead17425 жыл бұрын
Hey Mary we live 15 minutes from the property but we have been so busy lately that we have only been able to get out there every two or three days. I can’t wait to get the house built and move out there.
