I feel for you mate. Was in the same situation myself a couple of weeks ago. Vastly underestimated and therefore under quoted. Allowed two days but ended up taking four! I was prepared to take it on the chin, but the customer insisted on paying extra. I was really touched and humbled ☺️

Love your honesty Lee. You took the blame for not checking the job out properly before quoting and its rare to see people do that. Kudos to the customer though for whacking some extra cash on top! I always double all quotes for leylandii. It’s a pain in the ass. Needles get everywhere,sticky sap stains everything and when it’s wet - argggghhhhh. Any birds sunbathing next door? 🤣🤣

Don’t do any tree reductions or tree works better off getting friendly with a fully qualified tree surgeon and just take a cut of the job for doing nothing. Gardening is all I do, well done Lee for getting it done and we all learn from our mistakes! Take care

Good work Lee. Been in that situation many times in the past. I understand the feelings you get when you under quote. It's not nice!Not often a customer will offer you more. I'm glad the customer was easy for you to deal with. I personally now leave them jobs for the tree surgeon's or do in the winter when I'm less busy. Satisfying though when you have finished.

Look grand it the half way point of this video. I was thinking if it was possible to get the chipper up on the top of the wall. So far you have moved the cuttings twice with possible one or more to the chipper then haul the chips off. Thinking the chipper on the top would be mulch up there.

Oh my gosh Lee i think I'd have felt like you did near the end when I looked at it first off. What a stinker of a job and as you said it's the parts you can't see when you're first looking at the job that take you by surprise . I bet if you'd known it was as bad as this it would have been twice the amount you probably charged. I think it's time for an epsom salts soak in the bath, you definitely would have needed it.😟😟😭

The pricing was difficult on this job because I would have had to climb up a quarry to check the job properly....what I thought the job was and what it actually was ....was dramatically different..luckily the customer became aware and upped my money #greatcustomer
