I wish I knew about the instruction videos three years ago when I bought the complete setup and really tried to function as advertised. I was always wondering how the control computer communicates with the water distributer. It would has been så much easier if it was mentioned or referred to in the instruction manual.

I'm wondering as to how the master water computer communicates with the water distributor so that the water is sent to the correct outlet out of the 6 available. Also, I need to use a water pump as the pressure is not sufficient for the sprinklers. So, would that be okay and if yes, how should I set it up? Master Water Computer -> Water Pump -> Automatic water distributor or Water Pump -> Master Water Computer -> Automatic Water distributor?

curious about the same thing, but no answers here or on the website
@grrahul4 жыл бұрын
@@mrlogoanimations6716 I actually bought the water distributor and it uses water pressure to switch from 1 outlet to the other. To try it, I would manually turn on the tap, then turn it off and each time, it would switch to the next outlet. So, in relation to my own query, the master water computer doesn't really communicate with the water distributor, it just drops/completely shuts off the water which is what switches the outlets on the distributor.
@QnA223 жыл бұрын
@@grrahul Correct, same experience here. No communication possible between computer and distributor. SS a result of this you need to make sure the correct lines are selected if you use different watering times. Additionally, it creates a small annoyance. When you want to manually water, you need to switch the tap on and off for the "dumb" distributor to reach your desired watering line. There is a button to manually switch lines, but this option doesn't always seem to work. As my partner doesn't understand, or wants to understand this, I bought a splitter with manual open and close valves. This way my wife only need to open a valve and she can use a designated line for watering. In the end that costs an extra house, connectors and valve. Close to an extra 50 Euro extra cost. Admittedly, it's also possible for about 20 Euro if I would have bought other brands. Gardena itself would probably cost even more.

@@QnA22 so basically if I only have 2 lines then I can skip the usage of water distributor completley as I dont need 6 lines.. and instead use Y-splitter and connect two cheaper watering computers like Flex or Select..

Can i schedule which line will start first? or is it scheduled from 1 to 6 respectively ?
@mohammadalarab8703 Жыл бұрын
Can i make a schedule for the 6 lines by using this type of timer ? And is it a smart timer that can work from app? If not , do you have a smart timer that can schedule the 6 lines as well?
@CultofTiphereth3 жыл бұрын
If anyone buys this and think it does not switch you have to have the outputs connected. If you test it and don’t have resistance on the output it won’t change. And also you don’t need the master control when water goes off it switches. Any water control will do. Wish I knew before I bought both.

Hi ! Can you be a little bit more specific on this please ? My setup is going nuts, schedule is incorrect as i have days with all lines selected and others with only half of them, after some days, i find my setup in bad configuration (like schedule is for line 1 but line 3 is selected...)

bad product, descriptions online are deceptive and make you think this functions is multiple different ways to how it really works. the splitter changes outputs when water pressure turns off and then on, the controller just performs this action on a schedule. This device does not: -Allow you to water mutliple times a day, you can only water using it automatically once a day. -work well with the sensor, it is basically useless do not buy, i still havent figured out totally how it works because of poor documentation. If you have a big garden (which you probably do if buying), the sensor will just mess up your watering because it will detect wet soil in the spot you put it after watering that spot and all subsequent watering devices will have their watering shortened. You can only use it in the watering spot you put it basically. -Function correctly all the time. The splitter swapping method functions really badly, it often skips open routes, sometimes more than once and this totally ruins your watering schedule. It can for example after watering 1, skip 2 and 3, and land on 4 on the next cycle, but it will use the schedule for 2 because thats what the controller thinks it is on. In conclusion total waste of money. Do not buy

Does it works with Bluetooth controller? Or need master one 🤔

Can it be used with out the water control master
@GardenaAustralia4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it can definitely be used manually. You can either turn the water flow on and off and the Automatic Water Distributor will move to the next opened outlet or move it along using the orange button on the Automatic Water Distributor itself (centrally located on the outlet side).

How does the distributor speak to the controller, ie how can you set timing and outputs if the only thing that connects controller to distributor is water and hose?

I understand the water distributor is also compatible with the more expensive Gardena Smart water control, but how is it possible to configure this from the Gardena Smart App? I can’t see any options to select water lines in the App like you can find in the options of the master control.

Hello I don’t understand how can I make the water flow out of the six exit at the same time? Could you please help?
@GardenaAustralia3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jerome. The Automatic Water Distributor works on a cycle with one hose working at a time. They can be used manually or managed by an automatic water computer. For your requirements, I would suggest using our Four Channel Water Distributor and if you need more hoses, you can add a Twin Tap Connector to the hose connectors on either end. I hope this helps. www.gardena.com/au/products/watering/hose-fittings/four-channel-water-distributor/901160801/ www.gardena.com/au/products/watering/hose-fittings/twin-tap-connector/901160701/

@@GardenaAustralia Hi, it works. It just need more pressure to change the exit by the cut. I use an electric programator plug on my pump. Thanks for your answer.
