Even if it's just time lapse, I'd love love love to see each bed you clean out transform the way this one did. You wouldn't need to teach the clean out steps again, but along the same lines as people wanting to see the garden tours throughout the year, I'm sure a number of us would love to see beds you've shown planted in other videos again. How they survived the winter, what their upkeep is in these situations, just shown visually. Even just showing the garden getting cleaned up is so satisfying, and could show the updated plants without necessarily needing to go into a ton of detail about each individual plant. Your switches back and forth of video from when the plants got planted to them months later was so cool and such a quick little easy look at how they held up.

I have just bought a beautiful cottage in Wales and one of the things that attracted my partner and me to it from the word go was the garden! It’s stunning! Now we’re moved in and obviously i didn’t think too hard about the maintenance side of things - it was like walking into The Secret Garden! Surely it’ll be like that forever! Certainly not, it’s actually a huge mess in disguise and I’m hugely looking forward to getting in the dirt and sorting out the flowerbeds. This video has saved my beautiful flowers and me! Thank you for your simple instructions, and calming nature :)

The snow really did some damage. Surprised to see how some plants survived. Do you ever do views of the garden high up? It would be nice to see the whole garden in an aerial views and know your plans. I find it hard planning out a garden on a large property. We are on 2 acres so about one acre is becoming all garden.

Keep in mind that it's important not to cut things back too early - a lot of this dead growth is providing housing for beneficial insects. also it's important to NOT USE those colored woodchips; a lot of times they have chemicals that can harm your plants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just use good compost or regular arborist woodchips. .. Great video Garden Answers! I am subscribing!

I'm sure it will bounce back but if it doesn't may I have it, it is a beautiful shrub. right now the way it's hanging down it kinda has a bonsai look to it. I love the Dianthus color I've never heard of the fruit punch before the pink and blue go so well together. o one last thing will you be using the new sweet potato vine this year I've seen a clip of the 2017 plants from p nd w and they are so beautiful can't wait to see the next video I'm always looking forward to the next one thank you.

I really need help! I have a flower bed that runs half the length of my house and at one time all of my perenials were separated and I had beautiful mulch. Now, they are all over the placeand there is poison ivy throughout.. I had knee surgery and so I went a whole season without weeding or mulching, etc. Where do I begin? I go back and forth between wanting to rip it all out and start over, but the true gardener in me wants to save what I can. My granfather used to work at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and I LOVE gardening because of him.

I would like to also see the pond or waterfall in the background. I love the mountains so I made a "home-made" waterfall myself last year. I was small but delightful but then I got rats! I had a small garden that wasn't ever touched and have a very clean yard. I don't know where or how they decided to come to my house. I thought they might be living in the waterfall so I removed it. :( My neighbor said my yard was too "green". Love plants and love your very helpful video's!

Question, I’m looking to removing about 9 shrubs, three are the knockout rose variety, not sure of the other 6 but seemingly just your typical green shrubs. But I was wondering what would I need to do to the soil once I remove them. I want to plant new boxwoods in the rear and possibly some petunias in the front. Also, is there a timeframe that you have to wait before planting after removing

Pruning is generally not needed on butterfly bushes, especially with the variety I planted. I put in a 'Blue Chip Jr.' Butterfly Bush which, at it's maturity, will fit the spot perfectly. If I was going to prune, I would do it right after it leafs out in the spring. :)

Why you clean all leaves and branches away? They are very helpful...with no leaves and branches: the dirt dry out faster, fewer soil life, no protection for the plants. So there is not much to do on the flower bed. You just cut the dried stalks und thats it :) Sry for my bad English and i hope you understand me.
