Sugar and spice Korean viburnum was said to be deer resistant. NOPE! Watched two deer chew them to the ground.

From what I’ve read before, if you force bulbs to bloom early like this, they are likely not to repeat bloom if you save them to plant again. Is that your understanding too?

I love bulbs but never grow them here in 10a. Your blue tree is gorgeous. Right up my alley💙🎄

Wow, how much soil did you end up using? Will they get enough sun? Wouldn't the plants on top of the tables cast shade on the crates on the ground.

I am super interested if this works. My experience with getting tulips to bloom a second year has been pretty poor. I grow about 600 bulbs each season and have lifted them after they are done blooming and stored them in the cold for enough days and replanted them, yet they turned out pretty terrible. I buy all my bulbs from Colorblends and they are absolutely wonderful bulbs and bloom beautifully on year one. I let them die back all the way and I do plant them with bone meal and bulb tone. They are usually very small, short stemmed, or have tulip fire on year two! I'm in the Willamette Valley and I'm rooting for you on this experiment!! ❤️

Wow! That's a whole lot of bulbs. I absolutely love that blue Christmas tree - I hope to try something like it myself someday. Russell - what a sweetie. I saw you lining up those crates up and thought to myself, she's going to have to cover those, or the cats will use them as litter boxes. I know my cats would.

That royal purple tree skirt is gorgeous not that I put up Xmas decorations anymore but just a thought, perhaps you could start collecting purple ornaments for next year if the Lord Jesus decides to tarry.

I watch a KZbinr in Positano Italy and they have an arbor under their lemon tree and the branches lay on the arbor and the lemons hang below but still overhead if your walking. Seems like the perfect solution for all those heavily loaded branches.

I have a 4-5 year old lemon tree and it does the same thing every fall when I take it inside....leaves yellow and drop. I think it's just a seasonal thing since the plant seems fine otherwise. I fertilize it with Espoma Citrus Tone. One year it almost totally defoliated but it flourished again once put outside for the summer. Mine is loaded with lemons too. I would never have tried to grow a lemon tree if it wasn't for you Laura.🙂

I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to plant the daffs in the ground given they are such great perennializers. They'd look great in the new property...

I would very much like to know which automatic gate opener you are using. We need to get one for our entrance gate and we don’t know which to choose. We are going to have sensors. We aren’t concerned about security We are trying to keep the deer out of the garden, but we need to allow access for deliveries.

I never change the whole look of my tree. I have some of my grandmothers ornaments. I have some from when I was a kid and now I’m nearly 80. As I put each ornament on the tree my memory of who it came from comes to mind. I could never get ride of all those ornaments. I also pick up ornaments on vacation especially if they the year date on them. I’ll get one or two new ornaments a year.

I can't wait to see all the beautiful color in a few months. The dreary days of winter and you will have glorious blooms. Have a blessed day everyone. Also, love the deep blue ornaments your Mom found for you. She is the best.

Laura I don’t know if you have already done this, but I was hoping you had warm beds for your two cats. I know they stay in the covered tunnel but never see them in prober beds only on a chair. Hopefully they have their own warm beds for winter. Thanks for the consideration and I love that Douglas.

It will be so nice to see spring flowers when we're in the thick of winter. I remember all the beautiful daffodils that you delivered to the retirement home. ❤

I loove to see this project! It will be so interesting to see how it works! Question: 1 Are you going to keep the varieties that come back and bloom and do the same thing again? Or what is the plan ahead? 2 Why don’t you put some of the bulbs in the ground in other parts of the garden? The Delnashaugh for instance would look gorgeous almost anywhere with your other spring bloomers! I fell in love with it and managed to find One nursery here that had them. So I have dug them down in my garden and look so much forward to see them irl! Thank You for an amazing Chanel I have learned so much new things even though I have gardened for a long long time! Lots of love from Sweden 🇸🇪 and Florida 🇺🇸

You're doing it all wrong. Do your best decorating, then store the tree still decorated for next year, when you pull it out already decorated. Done once and for all.

The minute you put that first crate down I thought oh no, kitty litter! Glad you put chicken wire over all those crates. It should be a spectacular show and I’m the same way out in the garden, I hate cutting them because they’re so beautiful.

Hi Laura, just curious but why not take some of your tulip bulbs and plant them around all the new trees in your cut flower garden. Between the tree and the shrubs?

😂 I have the same problem with cutting flowers as they look so good and you want the border to look good. That is why a small cutting garden in an area nestled behind other things that you don’t see until you are there is the best. Hidden then it doesn’t matter if you cut all the flowers off!
